Because people are not just showing defiance and contempt for the law, defiance and contempt for the law and all standards of human decency. But they are doing it for years and years and years, all while nothing is being done. Nothing is being done, no one cares, no one feels responsible, no one is being held accountable. And they're fine with that, obviously because they are those kinds of people. And they just continue, continue doing it and getting away with it and flaunting what they are doing and showing how they really don't care. All while saying it is somehow my fault, because like Evelyn I dared speak up. They get away with that, they get away with treating me that way, and there is nothing I can do about it. All while living this horrible nightmare that will never be over with, that will never end, and that I will never know when it ends. Because like some episode of the Twilight Zone, or like the car thing, even if someone told me it was over, it might suddenly some day start up again.
