Thanksgiving in Las Vegas

It's my favorite holiday in America. And I have celebrated it in many different ways:
Austria (while studying abroad)
On Oahu (with a Japanese American family)
On vacation in Montréal (by car... one time even picking up a hitchhiker who spoke French)
At a church feeding the homeless (no comment)
At Coco's (with a friend for a prix-fixe)
At the home of a friend (where I played big boy dress up)
My childhood memories of the holiday were probably the strongest. My father's sister and brother-in-law owned a kosher butcher shop in Paterson, NJ and they put out a primo, traditional holiday spread.
This year I have opted to go to Las Vegas. Will be staying at the Luxor on the Strip. A friend from Boise will be joining me.
Why Las Vegas? It's a great place to walk around and see the wildest cross-section of this country (or even the world). Inhibitions seem to be lower.
My take on the city, however, is that it's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there!
