    We are screwed....................

    Coronavirus will surge again when summer ends; infectious disease experts are almost certain of that. But they don't know how severe that resurgence will be.

    The World Health Organization offered one bleak hypothesis for what the next few months of coronavirus could look like. While we're still living through the first wave of the pandemic, and cases are still rising, infections could jump up suddenly and significantly "at any time."

    A second peak would mean that many more people are infected with coronavirus at the same time, and during flu season, which would overburden health care systems.

    And when hospitals and health care workers are overwhelmed, there's a higher likelihood for preventable deaths, said Dr. Gabe Kelen, director of the department of emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins University.

    Told you so

    And we all would have been better prepared if we hadn't locked down and ruined the economy the first time

    Almost everyone at one Michigan prison tests positive for COVID-19 antibodies

    92% of prisoners tested at Parnall were positive for antibodies, according to Chris Gautz, spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections. The department offered antibody blood tests to all prisoners at Parnall about two weeks ago. Of 1,248 people tested, Gautz said 1,148 were positive.

    MDOC has since tested its entire population — roughly 38,000 people at the start of the pandemic — for the virus using nasal swab tests. As of Wednesday evening, 3,341 prisoners had tested positive, and results for more than 9,600 tests were pending. Sixty-two prisoners have died of COVID-19.

    Oh well;

    "A Seattle man who is taking part in a COVID-19 vaccine trial is opening up about experiencing an adverse reaction that briefly left him unconscious.

    Ian Haydon, 29, said volunteering was the right thing to do when he shared his story with TODAY last month after receiving the first dose of the vaccine candidate.

    The adverse reaction came after the second shot on May 5. Haydon is only now revealing the details in part because it wasn’t clear what happened at first and because he found it hard to talk about vaccine safety without “triggering” anti-vaccine activists, he tweeted Tuesday. “There’s no failure here,” he emphasized"
