Absolutely anywhere - pavement, road, in shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, mud, grass, soil, anything really!

Perhaps we should meet up with Barefoot Jaime at his mall. Seems to be barefoot friendly! :) Makes we wonder what kind of reaction we'd get from the rest of the patrons--if they even notice.

Pretty much the same although dirty pavements with chewing gum and dog shit don't do it for me and make me bring out the emergency flip-flops.

I also really get off going barefoot to college and at my daughter's school. It makes me laugh as I get these wierd looks from teachers and lecturers who'd consider themselves to be right-on liberals. Think they're probably frustrated they can't do the same and are terrified of falling foul of some obscure health and safety regulations. I do think though that the deputy head of my daughter's school has something of a foot festish if his body language is anything to go by when he sees me barefoot, shame for him that I'm in currently in a relationship with another woman although the thought of that would probably send him loco!!!!

I'm going to agree kinda with Barefootmeg but instead of "Absolutely anywhere" I'm going with Absolutely Everywhere !!!

I've done the hiking, rock climbing, restaurants, movie theaters, shops, malls, work, city, suburbs, country, and love them all barefoot.

I find myself standing somewhere and just wiggle my toes and revel in the fact that I am enjoying the freedom of being barefoot.

    Keep 'em bare.

    Pete

I just got back from a trip to the mall and no one even noticed I was barefoot. I was dressed decent, though. Jeans and a polo shirt. Actually I did get a couple of stares but it that was because I'm wearing my glasses instead of contacts today. They're serious coke bottles cause I'm so blasted nearsighted.

mike, you sort of sound like my boyfriend with the glasses thing except i can't get him to go anywhere barefoot except for the park and that doesn't even happen a whole lot.

and don't be self conscious about your glasses. my b/f's are really thick too but i'm a sucker for guys in glasses. but glasses AND barefoot at the mall...you may have tempted me with your free spiritedness. ;)

I have to agree with some of the previous posters and say that I like barefooting everywhere, and the more variety the better. I tend to get bored if it's the same surface all the time, whatever surface that may be, and for that reason I like streets a lot because they're all paved in so many different ways.

But I'm going to add one other condition that makes it a bit more special, and that is the weather. When it's still quite warm but has been raining, or even while it's raining. Then the ground is pleasantly warm, and it's nice and wet, and of course there are refreshing puddles as well. And that can apply in the town or in the country. And of course when the ground's wet your feet don't get too dirty as a short walk through some wet grass, dragging your feet if necessary will wipe almost any dirt off your soles.

In fact I went out to the cinema this evening. I'd seen pretty much everything I wanted to see that's on at the moment, but I thought I'd go along and watch Ice Age anyway, just as a reason to go out and walk to the cinema along some warm but very wet pavement (it wasn't raining at the time, but had been absolutely pissing it down this afternoon).
