Blind Melon Reunites

I think you got that confused, they've headlined every single show they've played so far and I'll de damned if Travis Warren doesn't make your jaw drop. I'm a HUUUUUUGE Shannon Hoon fan (the kind that goes to the vigil every year) and I've been to 5 shows so far... Going on tour following them next month...
It is true that they're playing small (sometimes shitty) venues but when they dont sell out they come pretty close... They might not be making millions but when you see a show you realize how happy they truly are to be playing those songs again.. Those guys deserve the best, just go see a show and if you don't change your mind about the reunion I promise I will never bug anyone about this again :leaving:

ok, i heard the new album... what do they sound like? it's kinda modern blind melon-ish, but pretty good! but it lacks the energy of hoon... i guess...

"what do they sound like?" they sound like the best melon cover band you could ever imagine. Rogers, Glen, etc sound as good, if not better than ever. Travis doesn't try to sound like shannon, he just sings. the new songs are just OK, imo.

as far as them "not doing well", i doubt that's true. they sold out shows on their last tour, and i just tried to get an extra ticket for a friend for the upcoming tour, and that's sold out too. (i got one through the kindness of other online melons). Hey, Gabbee! will you be in NY!? that'd be sweet--i'd love to see you again!)

i give them way more props that AIC, cuz at least they're making new songs. that AIC jerk just jumped in Layne's spot and started singing his songs. and jerry's a jerk, but that's a debate for a whole other thread *insert Jerry-esque hair swinging here*

also, Danny Clinch (we're not worthy!) was touring with them last time, and belting out harmonica with them, just like back in the day.....
AND we got to meet Danny and the entire band, and chill with them after the show.

What happened to you in NYC? I looked ALL over but you were nowhere in sight! I had some trouble getting in but still managed to get front row, I was right between Travis and Rogers. I called you after the show but couldn't get through.

Anyway, good show eh? I couldnt believe I was in the same room as Danny Clinch
