The Papacy condemned Ireland to centuries of British-Protestant conquest. people had to worship in a field because Catholicism was illegal.

We are used to the contempt thrown at us. They say we worship rocks and Idols. Yet I embrace these relics of primitive culture. These relics would have been erased by a strong Papacy.

Clinton and NAFTA is one of the biggest reasons the Clintons leave a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care about partisanship, free trade has screwed over America and I'm glad people on both ends of the political spectrum are finally talking about it this election cycle.

But please, let's not pretend like it was single handedly the fault of Clinton. Free trade had been supported on both sides of the aisle.

Half my family are Catholic, so I do have some sympathy I suppose. And some of them came over from Ireland.

Myself I don't see why the Pope shouldn't speak out on anything he chooses. It's up to people how they react to it. I do think Francis is an improvement on what went before. But still, I won't be off to mass anytime soon.

OMG, they've piled layer upon layer of distortions and rationalizations onto that those stories to make them whatever they want them to be. I've heard half a dozen different versions, all of them absurd. One of them is that part of the miracle he did at the wedding was that the alcohol had no intoxicating properties. Another line is that ancient people got a moral free pass on wine because the water was bad, and we have no such excuse or exemption. A third one has to do with the day of Pentecost. Until the Holy Spirit arrived on earth that day, believers had not been given enough moral discernment to comprehend that all drinking is evil. No comment from them on why Jesus never mentioned any of these points.

If you think that's bad, you should hear some of their rationalizations on racism. Or maybe not. You would surely get angry.

I drove past the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City today, its still there, even though four other casinos have closed down.

The remaining eight casinos have won a property tax appeal in court, The City of Atlantic City has to refund $150million of back taxes from several years to the casinos.

Atlantic City doesn't have the money and may go bankrupt.

The Borgota Hotel & Casino has a $7.5million annual tax bill. The Judge said: You will not get your tax refund; so you are excused from paying your 2016 tax bill.

Atlantic City has 40,000. residents and a budget of $250,000,000.00 The NJ State Gvmt. is attempting to take-over the City, in the way Detroit was taken over.

This is one of those times I laugh to keep from crying. I find it very sad that so many of the people I come across that are SO VERBAL about how they LOVE Trump don't own a thing, not even their cars. They seem to think they will get money and good jobs through osmosis from him.

NOT that they know what osmosis means.
