and the beat goes on Lauren and Brittany Pettybone did no such thing on private property with a bull horn. Where are you coming up with this? If Bob is shouting into a megaphone from the sidewalk in front of my house. He could get cited, fined, or arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. It's not what he is saying, it's how he's saying it. Lauren did not incite violence against muslims. She called the prophet gay. Harassing and stalking a human being is not the same as satirizing a religion. What is it about this that you don't understand? To paraphrase this whole passage: "6, you're a bigot because I said so!" And as I've said, I'm pretty sure race mixing is something that white nationalists deeply frown upon.
I think the native people of any given area are the ones who's ancestry to the society goes back more than a century or two. Can we agree on that? If not, what's your definition of native? This city is run by a mayor who says terrorism is part and parcel of living in a big city. But hey, at least he seems to acknowledge this rising murder problem. Do you agree that banning sharp pointy objects is a good idea to make the city more safe? When you bring in large sums of people from a culture who believe that a woman's testimony is worth half of a man's, a group of people who believes that criticizing a certain religion should be punishable by death, a culture that believes Sharia Law should supersede British Common Law. Some visible changes will be seen. I don't think I'd consider the vast majority of the UK's Muslim population to be native, as it is a religion believed mostly by the first generation Brits and illegal immigrants. But hey, I'll bet there's a few native English people who are Muslim, but it's more than likely they make up a small percentage. We've been over the UK Muslim statistics before. Do you wanna go over them again?
My college had a student body count of 1800, and the acceptance rate was 35%. But there are no "elite" colleges in Oregon. I don't deny there are conservative institutions out there. But let's face it, those numbers are limited mostly to the religion based institutions, and they pale in comparison to other colleges across the country that are over run by the left. To be fair, I also didn't encounter the Safe Space stuff when I was in college. I'm an older millennial though so that might be why. However, there were plenty of signs taped on offices and dorm rooms around campus with the words "safe zone" with a triangle. This could be the origin point of the whole "safe space" culture that has taken over college campuses in the last couple years. Safe spaces for everyone unless you are not a protected class. I did encounter a fair amount of feminism propaganda from a few of my professors though. Plus, they told all the freshmen at orientation that as part of the campus's policy, if any amount of alcohol touches a woman's lips, and sex occurs later on, it's considered rape. Which, as we all know, would turn any romantic sexual encounter after dinner and wine, a horrific crime. So it makes no sense. Some of my liberal professors docked me a few points because I said that global warming is still debatable. Oddly enough, my environmental policy professor was one of the only one of my left wing professors who welcomed my opposing libertarian viewpoints. He and I had good discussions too, and he gave me a good grade. I'm not sure if I can think of a department that at my college that leaned conservative. Because as you know, you can't push politics in every subject like music, mathematics, physics, chemistry and things like that. Although I did have an Industrial design professor, who seemed like a conservative. But then again it could've been the fact that he was a devout Mormon too.
You'd be surprised, there's only 2 big cities in this state that make it solid blue. That's odd, I looked up Clemson University, and I learned they banned Harambe the "racist" gorilla meme that promotes "rape culture". Clemson bans Harambe memes for promoting 'rape culture,' 'racism' How is this a super conservative school? This sounds pretty left wing to me.
Heh, a messed around with a girl from George Fox. My friend met her on Myspace, but she slept with me instead. She was one of my first. Good times. Higher education is important and sometimes crucial for many fields of profession. But at the same time I don't think going to a super religious school for right wing propaganda is the solution either. The best way, is to have a university educations system that challenges ideas, and celebrates diversity of thought. Not one that censors opposing viewpoints.
Calling the prophet (pbuh) gay to a group of Muslims is inciting violence by Muslims. Those are fighting words, as the U.S. Supreme Court defines the term. British authorities apparently feel the same way. BTW, I thought it was Allah she called gay. Clemson ranks #17 in the Princeton Review list of the 20 Most Conservative Colleges. Niche ranks it #4 out of 22,based on student reviews of the political leanings of the campus community. . The Harmbee meme controversy is aberrant, based on one official's email, and apparently it wasn't really banned. No, Clemson didn't really ban Harambe memes https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/clemson-ban-harambe-hoax/ No, Clemson University did not ban Harambe memes from its campus Damage Control: Clemson Claiming Harambe Memes ‘Are NOT Banned’ After Attracting Unwanted Media Attention
What Okie said. This was definitely something that was made into a much bigger deal than it actually was by conservative news outlets Clemson is a good school, they have a great engineering program that attracts people from all over the world. So the student body isnt homogenously conservative. There's some diversity there. But overall they're still an agricultural school on the border of rural SC/GA. They definitely lean right overall
Indeed, she said Allah was gay, not Mohammad, I stand corrected. So it's fighting words to satirize Muslim icons, but perfectly acceptable to satirize Christian icons? How is handing out pamphlets to spread a message any different than Vice publishing an article online or in a news paper? Do you willfully chose not to see the double standards here? Let me know when you and Balbus get over your Muslim fetish.
No, it's fighting words to take material saying Allah is gay into Muslim neighborhoods, as it would be to take material saying Jesus was gay or Mary was a whore into a South Boston bar. Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire. It's quite obvious what the intent was, and it wasn't "satire". What serious argument could you make that Allah or God, an ineffable non-corporeal Being, has a sexual identity? And of course the purpose was not to make a serious argument but to incite violence. The "speech" was tantamount to saying "Yer mudder screws German shepherds!" You need to get over your Lauren and Milo fetish.
6 But harassing and stalking the people of a certain religion isn’t satire it is the harassment and stalking of human beings. I mean your whole support for provocative agitators (like Bob) is not to leave certain groups alone to live out their lives in peace as you claim to want - it’s all about trying and rile, annoy and harass them. Which as I’ve pointed out is likely to be counterproductive and play into the hands of extremist recruiters.
6 That’s not paraphrasing that misreading – I’m just pointing out that by your own admission you are promoting alt-right ideas and that therefore you would seem to be part of the alt-right movement. But as pointed out just because someone claims to like ‘brown girls’ does not mean that they are not bigoted or racist in other areas. Again those that are not bigoted and racist don’t have to keep saying they are not they just don’t say bigoted or racist things.
6 Sorry but that is the silliest thing I’ve heard I mean when does the 200 year count begin? The Thames valley has had human habitation since before the Neolithic period then there is the Beaker people, the Celts, Romans, Picts, Anglo-Saxons, Scandinavians, Irish, Scots, Jews, French and in the last 200 years Chinese, Indians, Afro-Caribbean’s Turkish, Greeks and Polish. London has always had a constant turnover of people arriving, living and leaving, I was not born in ‘London’ few of the people I know were born in this area, we live here at this time but people move on and others move in. But let us turn to a dictionary – Native - “A person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not.” So that would seem to exclude me as a ‘native’ of ‘London’ it would exclude a vast number of people that call themselves Londoners * But where are you going with this? Are you saying – that no new people should be allowed to come to London and that only people that can trace their family back to someone born in ‘London’ a hundred or two years ago is allowed to live there? I mean even you must see how silly that is?
6 Sorry what the hell are you going on about? Have you ever looked at the law in England and Wales about this? It’s already illegal to carry a knife in public The maximum penalty for an adult carrying a knife is 4 years in prison and an unlimited fine. You’ll get a prison sentence if you’re convicted of carrying a knife more than once. Selling, buying and carrying knives
6 Your reply makes it clear that you think the ‘more violent’ people coming to London are Muslims – they are the ‘foreigners’ coming to London (and the UK) and bringing with them ‘their’ violent tendencies and that any increase in crime (especially murder) is all due to this Muslim migration. BUT none of that stacks up - this is the very definition of bigotry – this is all based on your own bias and prejudiced beliefs. Then it’s suspicious that you don’t think in terms of being born in a country makes someone a native of that country but only in terms of ancestry going back to a time when the UK would have been mainly (to the point of ‘purely’) white. Implying that in your view the ‘true’ natives of the UK are white people. You say you are not a bigot but you say bigoted things You say you are not a racist but you imply racist things
I wonder if 6 has ever met a Muslim or if he only knows them from Fox. As someone who has been served a vegetarian dish in a Muslim home he has no idea. They all ate meat but because I was a guest something was made for me to suite my needs. Pretty sure the Koran has no issues with meat. The dinners were lovely full of smiles and conversation. They do not all murder. Jesus is in the Koran. Many in the west are more similar to a Muslim than they know.
Well I'm Native American, and I've been deeply concerned about some of the non-native riff raff who have been getting into the country lately causing trouble, like the one we have in the Oval Office, and these AltRight and Republican assholes: Steve Bannon, Paul Ryan, creepy Stephen Miller and the rest. !@#$%^ illegal immigrants. So much for our open borders policy. Go back where you came from! (in Miller's case, that's probably Transylvania. The dude could haunt houses.)
I see, so she should'a seen these signs that were supposed to be posted up in every area you cannot mock Islam, such as the location of her booth. I mean, they're literally all over the place.l Like, for real. Maybe we should do away with free speech entirely... so anybody committing an act of "hate speech" will be subject to 20 cane lashings in a public place, and sent to jail for insulting Islam. Sound good to you? That's commonplace in much of the Islamic world. And what serious argument can you make about Jesus being gay? Vice did it specifically to rattle the cages of religious homophobes. Miss Southern did the same thing to see how religious homophobes of a different stripe would react. The moral of the story is that it's socially acceptable for every other religion to roll with the punches of having their idols mocked. Whereas it's forbidden to mock another one. Add Ayaan Hirsi Ali to my fetish list too. I had leftovers from my friend's Ramadan dinner; it was tasty. Ramadan was over, but they shared their leftovers with infidels like me. My muslim name I have myself was Ghrabbir Boobi. Really? Please explain to me how Charlie Hebdo was harassing and STALKING human beings with their Muhammad drawings.. I mean, if you want people of faith to be protected and coddled from mean words and jokes made up about their religion. Then the best way is to do away with free speech, and make any acts of heathenism a hate crime. Man, that sounds disgusting, but believe it or not, that's the way the left is heading: a far rightward step towards tyrannical social conservatism. Justin Trudeau passed a law making Islamaphobia hate crime. But this is the world Balbus wants. Side note: I'll have more time to reply to you all tomorrow or the next day. Calling it an early night for an appointment.
lol. Ugly Dude. Who is he? Where is he? All over the place where? In your backyard? And what's your point. I think some explanation is in order. And what school of Sharia is he following? No music? Sounds like Taliban! And your point Is? Isn't he exercising free speech? Around here, if he posted those on a telephone pole, he'd be cited for an ordinance violation. If he pasted them on a public building it would be defacing public property. Otherwise, what's the problem?
