Back then the American people believed everything they were told including from the chemical industry who claimed DDT was completely harmless.

not quite everbody. rachiel and others had to write the books, but it is what the cultural mainstream expected and demanded of everybody. freedom of thought was reserved for university libraries.

 

We still seem to accept cheap goods from China, never stopping to think that without jobs we will still end up without the money to pay for them.

Before he showed the whole word that he was crazy, I supported Donald Trump for pointing out the problem.
Needless to say, his blunt honesty upset the companies making huge profits while employing no one, so I still wonder whether his demise was brought about by them creating fake and unbalanced stories.
It sometimes takes someone in another part of the world to see what was REALLY happening.
