I just realized; many of the people I know wear their shoes indoors. Why? I don't realize why you wouldn't be comfortable with bare feet in your own home.

These comments never cease to amaze me. I know one thing, if a tornado was coming towards my home, I'd say the hell with any footwear, and run for cover. A human life is so much more important than a pair shoes.

It's almost like a human foot could not function unless it's covered up in some sort of shoe.

One of the older relatives in my extended family still gives me hell about me going barefoot inside my own house. She thinks the risk of injury is too great. She has no idea that I ever go barefoot outdoors. I don't want to have that conversation with her.

I do get annoyed by people who need to keep reaffirming that they go barefoot; no one walks around continuously going on about not having a bag, or wearing only pure cotton.

But, on the other hand it annoys me when people ask me if my feet are cold, or if I forgot to put shoes on

I met a female friend in a park in NYC. She was with some of her girlfriends and told me I was embarrassing her since I was barefoot. One of them said "That's OK, if he's comfortable like that." She was generally OK with me barefooting if we were together.

I may not always agree with what you say, but for this simple fact you deserve an A. I haven't seriously gone barefoot in NYC, but I'll make sure I do that on my upcoming trip.

I don't have any problems myself about walking around barefooted...I actually think it feels really comfortable after a while. but my dad never likes it...for pretty much no reason at all. I used to do it all the time, and he would always get really upset and make me put socks on.

Oh well though...I can still SLEEP barefooted XD haha

Some one asked me if I don't wear shoes because it's easier to climb trees. And I just couldn't think of a clever answer for him

No offense, but this is why we move away from home. :p

The tailor insists you put your shoes on when you'd rather get measured barefoot.

Time to get another tailor. I can't imagine any of them are so flush with business right now that they can afford to lose a paying customer.

"Sure it is! And once I'm up there you can feel what it's like to be looked down upon."

Yeah that would have been pretty good. I can usually give a good retort, but this time was blank.

this toenail.. it's one of the many reasons i hate shoes.. it would rub the inside top of the shoe and make my entire leg ache..

I get that. A little arthritis gives me two of those devils. I cannot avoid shoes, but society could relax a little on my downtime.
