Good luck on your career goal and most places are becoming more lenient with the way people dress or how people look these days. I know tattoos are becoming more acceptable in the work area so why shouldn't dreads, at least as long as they are tied properly. I know a guy who has dreads that are always kept in a tight bun, I didn't even know he had dreads until I had a closer look. I am lucky enough to want to get into the culinary field so I have to wear a hat that hides ALL my hair XD

haha this is very true! Maybe by the time I am out of college, dreadlocks will be considered less of an "unprofessional" hairstyle.

I'm a mechanical engineering student too, and I'm about 9 months in on my dreads. I'll just say that they aren't going the neat path lol. Here's hoping that dready engineers are more accepted in the future :D

Yes!! Lets just partner together in a company, and be the owners, so we can be our own bosses, and no one can tell us what we can and can't do with our hair!

No loops, but here's my two "craziest" dreads. Still decently neat, but they're both induced congos from when my dreads were like 2 months old. I had four really thin ones, so I made them into two, and then let them do their thing :)

its so insane how different one persons dreads to the next are, like it takes the difference of hair type and multiplies it by a thousand...
I'm not skeptical about your locks at all, apparently whatever you choose to do to them is working so keep it up.

I see many different heads of dreadlocks every week and I can definitely say that everyones hair dreads very differently, even if they were started the same way. They look good! Congrats :)

I loved my dreads, but I needed a change in my life, and I made a lot of inner changes, but to account for that, I wanted to express that with an outward change, so I decided to cut my hair.

Why did you decide to cut instead of combing it out? I been contemplating on combing out my hair... I am not even a year yet..

Because I just wanted a complete change. Like a new slate. So I shaved my head.
