o.k. then, but what does f.i.m. mean, because my cats do it to mine all the time low stress training= lst we just call it tying them down Try a ttd method man it's better. i just messin with ya , no arguments here. i been preachin how to tye em down for 20 years at least.
Well ive seen alot of plant training during flowering...LST I thought was more towards the veg side of things? Its all new to me Tie
I had a boss over the summer when i was about 15. He took me into the backyard once- to show me his plant. He said"can you see it?" Couple minutes went by, Im like "huh where?" He pointed to my feet- I was practically standing on it! L.O.L. O.K. when your plants get about 4-6 inches tall outdoors in spring, bend it over to the ground and stake it {Like with A tentstake, or a coathanger loop-leave enough room for the stem to grow}when the growth tip gets 4" again bend and stake it again. Make it grow on the ground like a vine. Each branch will produce a growth tip {bud} nearly as big as the main one. I guess indoors most people tie them to the buckets. Not much point in it indoors, to my way of thinking. Unless your celing height restricts you. I a firm believer in letting them stretch- if you have to top or bend, by all means bend.
Well if each branch will produce a growth tip {bud} nearly as big as the main one...why not have 10 or more? The grow reports I watch and read on LST all claim the same thing...more yeild. And if you dont have the wattage or room...why not get the most bang for your buck? It appears you get better light penetation, more colas and requires less ceiling height. I wish I had the room to try both methods, it would make for an interesting grow journal!
