There was always an optimum way to handle this for each of the different regions of the world with very different demographics

The one size fits all shut the the whole country, for every country, maybe that's not it. Does that sound all that crazy

Then there is another curve we have to watch out for, who's peak we won't see for 6 months... maybe as little as 2 weeks in South America. It's not a virus, but it's a whole lot scarier, or should be

Nah, I agree we should't just lock down the who country. But I don't think we could do that in the US anyway. Governors usually have that kinda authority in emergencies.

It looks like the UK's models were off by a factor of 10.

UK has enough intensive care units for coronavirus, expert predicts

But I honest don't know what your referring to. South America?

  4. There are a bunch of idiots in here who think they are invincible.
This is what is wrong with the world.
You idiots who keep doing this need to actually pull your own head in because covid-19 isn't something you won't get.
You will get it if you go to large gatherings.

I saw that there were a bunch of dickheads who decided to be in one big group in the arrivals lounge at Sydney airport.
Going against strict health related rules to do with this virus.
It's what is wrong here. People being rebels and not bothering to listen.

It's time to be serious here.
None of you want to get this horrible illness.
Instead of trolling on here telling us how fucking dumb you are how about listening up and really taking life seriously here.

Yeah, I really do believe US, Sth Korea, UK, Japan, Germany, Australia. Those counties in particular should have fought the thing head on from the start

As for Sth America, they were on a knifes edge with the Food supply even before all this, on that continent we might have a dozen Venezuelas' on our hands in as little as a month and all at the same time, and they weren't even affected by the virus all that much.

There's a spread map of Melbourne on this page

New data has revealed Australia’s richest suburbs harbour the most COVID-19 cases

Id get out of dodge if I were you, Sydney and Melbourne, too late to contain the spread

Early on, when they were talking about asymptomatic spreaders they weren't just talking about people that are contagious a few days before they knew they were sick

They were also talking about those that get infected and don't even notice, because they have very very mild symptoms or none at all

If there is a big enough percentage of the population like that, no chance of containing the spread. In China they are still probably only testing those that report symptoms

  18. Yeah, my nose was just the tiniest bit runny. Now it's not.
