Dramatic headline again, but how many people in that age group in Missouri? 600,000

So like 1 1/2%...after running around in the summer holidays, most of them not really giving a fuck about the virus

    No real surprises

And If they pass it on to their parents or most especially their grandparents, well I'm sure they'll be fine living with the knowledge
    they killed grandma or grandpa.

What point are you actually trying to make though? As they are returning to in-class training anyway

I assume you want to take that question back, since only a sociopath would have to ask

Number of deaths doubled in the last 3 weeks in Australia btw, and that's pretty much just in one city, Melbourne

The rest of us scraped through winter without it taking hold

Not at all, Melbourne residents are currently only allowed to leave home between 5am and 9pm for work, exercise, essential shopping or caregiving.

She refused to provide her name and address which gives the police the right and the authority to seize personal property before making an arrest.- all
    perfectly legal.

New York Will Test the Dead More Often for Coronavirus and Flu

Cough, fever, chills — with fall fast on the way, symptoms alone won’t be useful in distinguishing Covid-19 from similar-looking cases of the flu. That means routinely testing for both viruses will be crucial
    — even, perhaps, after some patients have already died.

That will at least be true in New York, where officials recently announced a ramp-up in post-mortem testing for the coronavirus as well as the flu. Deaths linked to respiratory illnesses that weren’t confirmed before
a person died are to be followed up with tests for both viruses within 48 hours, according to the new regulation.

“These regulations will ensure we have the most accurate death data possible as we continue to manage Covid-19 while preparing for flu season,” Dr. Howard Zucker, the state’s health commissioner,
said in a statement last week.

The UK recorded its highest daily total of new coronavirus cases since May, while India broke its own troubling related world record — with another 90,632 residents confirmed overnight to have the disease.

The United Kingdom announced Sunday that it registered 2988 new infections in the past 24 hours, compared to 1,813 Saturday and a high of 2,959 on May 23.

The main problem here is that the figures are not being compared like with like.

In May testing was only done primarily in hospitals and therefore on average an older age group . If it was done in the wider community and on a scale much smaller than today .So I think the May figures could be much higher if testing was done on the same scale as it is done today .

Now it is tested in the wider community and that is why its now being detected more and more in younger people. That also shows in the number of fatalities being much smaller than those of May. In fact its been shown that more people die of Colon Cancer and Breast Cancer on a daily basis than they do of Covid at the moment .

    Not unexpected but still....WOW!

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally linked to 20% of US coronavirus cases in August: researchers

Nineteen percent of the 1.4 million new coronavirus cases in the U.S. between Aug. 2 and Sept. 2 can be traced back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally held in South Dakota, according to researchers from San Diego State University's Center for Health Economics & Policy Studies.

That's more than 266,000 coronavirus cases attributed to the 10-day event, which more than 460,000 people attended despite fears it could become a so-called super-spreader event.
