My workplace has literally nearly run out of bog paper. More of a reason to stay home than the virus itself.

In the movie Resident Evil, the Umbrella Corporation was a British multinational conglomerate with subsidiaries active in a variety of industries.
Umbrella had influence in the production and sale of cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Umbrella's large array of subsidiaries was purposely built
    to cover up illegal activities.

Soon after the opening of its pharmaceutical subsidiary, Umbrella began developing biological weaponry for militaries across the world as part of a worldwide conspiracy
to accumulate deadly viruses directly prohibited by the signing of the biological convention treaty.

What could be causing the Coronavirus death rate to be higher in Italy compared to other places?

I was looking forward to watching some basketball tonight, the Celtics were playing at 5:00 and the Trailblazers at 7:00 but that's cancelled. The NCAA tournament is planning to play their games without fans in the stands. Other sports events are being cancelled and if things don't get better the Olympics could be next. Only the XFL is business as usual, they don't have a problem with large crowds. Before each game the announcer says, "Please don't sit so close together! Please move apart, we have plenty of empty seats, people!"

I feel like noting this, because it could fall under "safe and effective" but provides a clearer context of what that entails. Osternholm, the guy who appeared on Joe Rogan said if a vaccine being developed is only partially effective, it could actually make the virus even worse.

Resident evil 4 was a milestone at the time. Don't recall the earlier ones.
Not really a fan of the movies (or most resident evil or other zombie games. Days gone seems interesting though. Wouldn't mind trying that one at all! )

Also interested in The last of us 2 of course! Coincidentally, both these games are set in the north west of the USA (a less common setting in games so far)

Resident Evil 2 was amazing!! The virus was called the T-Virus in the early games.

The screen was fixed in the early games, meaning it didn't move as your character moved. This provided some extra scary atmosphere (slightly annoying gameplay, particularly in the first RE) as the zombies and other creatures could be just off screen.

The experts from the Center for Disease Control and the Health and Human Services just testified before Congress. They told America does not have a system in place for dealing with Coronavirus. America did have such a government program; however, it was shut down by Trump. So now we have thousands of people who did not get tested for the disease. And they cannot get tested, because Trump disbanded the very agency which would be directing the governmental response. Dr. Fauci told Congress that ordinary flu has a death rate of about 01% among infected persons. This Coronavirus has a rate ten times that much, he told Congress. The governor of Washington told his administration is concerned that a quarter million citizens might get sick in the next three months, at the rate it is spreading. While all this is happening, Trump and his cronies are fumbling and muddling about.

Ah well, one who saves something has something to look forward to :grinning:

I came late to the The last of us party too: went with the remastered version. Still heavily recommended (if you have a ps3 or ps4) :)

The zombie/virus premise isn't one of my favourites at all, but that game is! Glad i took notice of it after all

Last of Us is a masterpiece in gameplay, pacing, and story telling.

Huh. It does seem like the season to brush off the PS4.
