That's exactly the way I feel about Trump followers. By the way, Josh Hawley of Missouri wants to have the impeachment dismissed, because Pelosi is holding the articles. He is saying that's the way things work in a federal trial. But he, like other Republicans, is overlooking the fact that during a federal trial the other side get discovery and to question witnesses. Republicans don't want Democrats to question witnesses concerning the hold of the Ukraine aid. Today, members of the Department of Defense released/leaked a copy of an email which clearly shows the order to hold the funds came directly from Trump himself. Trump is guilty.

Wasn't Clinton favored by the party commitee at such an early state that Sanders' chance was made impossible? So although he did back the democrats' choice, the phrase 'he bites the dust' actually and unfortunately does apply to that particular instance (edit: with Sanders. Not the candidate onceburned is referring to. I agree with your explanation on that. It's just that the example of Sanders in 2016 is a very peculiar one)

 

Looked more like Bernie was rebounding so the democrats and media snagged him into submission. Ultimately he was paid to get out of her way.

 

Asmo, the Democrat Party had some strange rules back then. They used to give a double vote to some delegates and Hillary got to win because of the party guidelines. Remember, Bernie was never a Democrat. He has always been an Independent, a fact which caused a lot of resentment among the party core.

No whiter than the Republican. The field should reflect voter assessment of the capabilities of the contenders. So long as there is no systematic effort to exclude people of color, I'm content with the process. The alternative would be some kind of affirmative action system, which would be absurd.

Naaaa, everybody knew it was going to be that way ultimately. If she hadn't been intercepted we might have our first "American Indian" AND first woman president in the same shoes. Unfortunately, she's just plain white saltine, so no consolidated landmark for the "making history" proponents.

I still think Biden is the most viable democrat. He's really the only chance they have, but I don't think he can beat Trump. And the only way Warren could beat Trump would be in divorce court!
