Depressing if their supposed sexiness affects your vote.

  2. Naaaa, Liz lost me when she quoted Mao as if it was a good thing.

What was the quote? If you recall. Details matter. You can quote someone without saying something about the person.

She opposes school choice but sends her kids to private schools where enrollment is is $30,000 per year

  6. My mistake, that was Anita Dunn in 2009. Elizabeth Warren said that the US should be more like China. I got the two of them twisted in my aging brain. Not that either of them have been good for the country.

  7. So basically, enough to feed 5 or so families for a year.

Huh? Anyone is free to use their own money to pay for private school. That's why it's called private school, because private schools dont use public funds.

As i understood it she opposes public funds going to private schools. Not sure if she radically opposes school choice.

I know you're not (that) stupid, so are you really as consciously misleading as you seem here? Or are you actually this stupid (calling out the dubious practices of the media but going along with it as it suits you)? I'm not sure what I hope is the case. Both options seem disappointing

Public funds go to private organizations all the time. If Planned Parenthood can get public funding, and corporations through corporate welfare, why can’t the same funding go for underprivileged youth to get into better schools?

*corporations shouldnt be getting corporate welfare
*I doubt very seriously you think Planned Parenthood should get government funds so that's another bad example
*78% of all private schools are religiously affiliated and it's unconstitutional for religious schools to receive taxpayer funds.
*the quality of public schools will suffer by diverting funds to private schools, which is the real intention of school choice proponents
    * private schools are not automatically better performers than public schools

Planned Parenthood and corporations shouldn’t be receiving government funding, but they do anyway. I don’t like the current system, but as long as we’re stuck in it, we might as well find a way to allow people in poorer areas a chance for better education.

Leftists bitch about private schools having religious affiliation because of the agendas they might or might not teach. But I don’t see how it’s any different from the disinformation and propaganda pushed at public schools. At least private schools that don’t do well in quality of education inevitably fail, whereas public schools with just as poor quality are always kept afloat via public funding.

If it were up to me, education will have a market based system. Whereas the best teachers will get the most students. And teachers will get paid on a merit system for how many of their students pass the exams put together by the institute. If a teacher can keep a classroom environment engaging and fun for the students, more students will sign up to be with that teacher. And the teacher will get paid based on the number of students that excel in the classroom and the exams. This incentivizes teachers to be better educators. Under our current system, good teachers are paid the same as lousy teachers.

The best teachers likely do not want the most students anyway. One factor that makes education good and a teacher possibly excel in their work is a limited amount of students.

I did a small amount of googling. The closest I could find was this article in which the author (I'm using the term loosely) suggested that she was to the left of Mao.

Unhinged Leftist Elizabeth Warren Fesses Up to Her “Honest Mistake”

The 'proof' for that claim is a video of her saying that people who own factories should pay taxes too.
