Championing fiscal responsibility-fiscal responsibility is a personal decision. One can spend every dime they have, or they can save their money. The president(any president) has nothing to do with that.

Preserving institutional integrity-what the hell does that mean?

Providing a safety net for the vulnerable in society-you mean like cutting Medicaid,and talking about wanting to cut Medicare, and SS?

Treating people of all colors and creeds decently-you mean by banning, and deporting people who are non white?

No more than 5 years ago, I considered myself socially progressive because I found myself agreeing more with liberals on certain issues like stem cell research, reducing military spending and interventionism, gay marriage, drug legalization, no punishments for victimless crimes, and living your life however you want as long as you're not harming those around you. The right to bear arms was the main social issues I heavily agreed with the right on. But now that gay marriage and marijuana are legal, those aren't issues that are heavily discussed on the forefront anymore, and political culture of progressivism has definitely changed for the worse.

I didn't watch the video - I'll pass - but I'm sure when you like what you're seeing you can bet it'll be either blamed on Democrats when it can't get past Congress, or that he just won't deliver on it.
