Not at all, the socialist model works well for things like healthcare and to a lesser degree education. And yes, there are plenty of people speaking loud and proud about how the US "needs" to "embrace socialism". Since we don't have a perfect system to hold up as an example, we need to stick to what we know and make it work. Which is why we have so many versions of the same car rolling around (that and unbridled capitalism with zero waste control).

But how most americans want it implemented doesn't make the political or economical system predominantly socialist. It would remain to be a mixed economy. A capitalist democracy with socialist tendencies

 

But notice in that how they clump together Medicaid and CHIP. So it's not spelt out how much of that $399 billion isn't spent on Children's health insurance

If they spelt that out you'd see 70 billion for vets, 370 for Medicaid, but only 26 B for kids - too much money spent on old farts, not enough on kids

Next you have to work out who Tax policy centre are ( where you got that info from )

And who the urban institute and Brookings are 'The Tax Policy Center (TPC) is a joint venture of the Urban Institute and Brookings Institution."

Both are D.C non profit organisations ( which really just means actual profits are just split into extra bonuses for board members) payed by either political party to feed you bullshit through seemingly legit sources

 

I think that's actually one reason to adopt something knew, but I'm not sure I understood correctly.

 

If calling someone a joke for trying such a lame ass tactic is the most personal i get, he has nothing to complain. And in fact complaining about it makes him a hilarious hypocrite. He 'gets personal' or rude in a similar matter regularly.

There's often a minority of people who does wants such an extreme thing. But they're really a meaningless minority. People like 6-eyed or Writer know this. But somehow it suits them to portray them as a more significant factor.

 

I've noticed that on the internet in general. It's much easier to argue against your idea of what something is rather than to argue against what it actually is.

We've gone over this a few times. Now, I realize you are a twenty something, and I am a dreaded boomer.
The point I am making is that we were taught that communism, and socialism were bad. I am not saying that they were, but it is ingrained in the American psyche, that they were. That, and the fact that Americans don't like to educate themselves, is the reason "socialism" is a concern for the majority.
Then you have a moron, like trump, who is going to capitalize on the fear that your money, house, guns, etc. are going to be taken away.
