The point being what we've been trying to tell you for years now: democratic socialism is not socialism and is not the opposite of capitalism.

Did you notice though, that the people who do support these plans understand already that things require money at some point and that your issue seems to be with... political messaging? I don't know if that's a battle worth fighting. Just saying.

 

AS soon as the HUGE companies quit dodging taxes (and even get money BACK from the government) , close up the loop holes,etc, we could do many things for the general population that seem unreachable now. The list was in here some time back. And this will never happen with repub-fuck you--licans in control.

 

Exactly right. I feel like we should warm up to the idea of social programs. In other countries everybody pays taxes for that; not just rich folks and corporations. At this point though the mere mention of higher taxes sends many people into a fury. I think what should be commonly understood is that the taxes absolutely without a doubt will pay for medical exams and maybe food stamps or something.
