    well this is getting ugly..

I'm still hoping for a Sanders win, but it's looking worse and worse. A sad failing in South Carolina and it feels like the end of the world.

    Nah it's fine
I think it will be fairly close in SC then Bernie is going to sweep the super Tuesday states.

I went to see Bernie tonight and there were people who were driving in and having to leave because there wasnt enough parking for everyone (it was really just a bad venue choice on the campaign's part)
But look, SC is feeling the Bern ! (Its no Tacoma Dome but still)

Interesting FOX News Poll which for the first time now has Sanders over Biden. 31% to 18%,

The majorities of democratic primary voters think Sanders (65 percent), Bloomberg (57 percent) and Biden (56 percent) can beat Donald Trump

The General election has Trump at 42% of the votes, and his democratic rival is at 52%, and yet the perception is that Trump will win – odd.

People believe that Trump will win despite the numbers which suggest Trump will lose badly in the general election because he just can’t get over 42%

    That’s a typical American audience,

The obesity rate in South Carolina is 32%, only the 12 highest in America,
Hard to imagine there are 11 states that are worse.

This is not necessary here, because most workers here belong to worker's unions, up to even 90% of the total work force. Unions here are so powerful that every 2-3 years they get together with the employer's organizations to negotiate what is called the "collective labor agreement". These legally binding agreements define minimum wages for members of each union. Every 2-3 years they're re-negotiated to adjust the wages to inflation, and to see if improvements to workers' conditions are needed. Once again, these age legally binding, and if there's a breach of contract from the employer's side, the unions then have the legal right to go on a strike, and there's almost nothing that the officials can do about this. Meaning that you can't send guys with rifles to gun them down, if you don't like the union's methods/demands. This is widely accepted to be a much fairer system to the workers compared to a standard minimum wage that is the same for all, because it much better considers the demands that the the job places on the workers.

Bernie has a good taste in economic models.

But that would be stealing your nordic culture through cultural appropriation. Bernie has no right to steal from you and your culture.

There's also a concept of 'electability'. The media keeps saying how much more electable Biden is despite the fact that nobody... on earth... is excited about a Biden term.

Bring in the boring grandpa to fight Trump, they say.

I don’t like Biden either, but I don't think Sanders is the return to normalcy undecided independents are looking for.
