Six has a dilemma to sort out. He wants to attack Kamala Harris, and the best he can come up with so far is to portray her as some kind of "cop" (actually, a prosecutor, but he thinks same difference. But this means he's siding with anti-law enforcement extremists on "the Left". So which is it, Six? Is law and order good or bad? Who is more pro "law and order"? Kamala Harris or Trump?

IMHO Kamala Harris will make a great VP and future President in 2024

Can't wait for the VP debate between KH and MP she'll clean the floor with that creep

    Barack Obama -

Former president Barack Obama said that Biden had "nailed this decision" in a lengthy statement.

"Now Joe has an ideal partner to help him tackle the very real challenges America faces right now and in the years ahead," Obama said, calling Harris "more than prepared for the job."

He highlighted her personal and professional background, saying "She's spent her career defending our Constitution and fighting for folks who need a fair shake."

    Bernie Sanders -

Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, who ran against Harris and Biden for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, congratulated his former opponent.

"She understands what it takes to stand up for working people, fight for health care for all, and take down the most corrupt administration in history," he tweeted.

"Let's get to work and win."

    LeBron James -

NBA star LeBron James also could not contain his excitement, tweeting a series of clapping emojis.

"Love to see and support it!" the Los Angeles Lakers forward said.

No, as in some of them--the fringe minority that I disown. I support the right of peaceful protest, but not necessarily every idea the protestors think is good.

No change at all. I've never been a "defund the police" fan.

Defunding the police is the new mantra of BLM. BLM is an organization you aggressively stood behind for years.

    Now you're calling them stupid.

Seems to me like you're finally waking up. But I won't hold my breath

It is funny watching the left celebrate a woman VP choice.

Even though women and men don't exist according to their new age views on gender being entirely a social construct

Seems to me like most conservative white men you’re intimidated by a strong intelligent black woman.

With Joe Biden only serving for one term, she’ll likely be the leading candidate in 2024,

    What will you do?

I think it's wonderful she's got the nod

She has so much ugly baggage attached to her, and a whole graveyard of skeletons in the closet. Voters will soon remember why they lost respect for her in the primaries. If Biden doesn't crash his campaign, Kamala will do it for him

    *evil laugh*

I'm for diversity of opinion. Echo chambers are boring

That baggage you speak of is an impressive resume, which is why you and your kind are so desperate to tear her down.

Intimidated by a strong black woman?

Not exactly. I've defended the slogan "Black Lives Matter". I have reservations about the organization BLM. They were in the right place at the right time with the right message and slogan that captured the hearts of people around the globe. Their problem is where to go from here. What they've had to do is make demands. One of those has been the demand to defund the police, along with other reforms of police forces, such as community policing and civilian review, and adoption of more flexible responses to calls for assistance. Another has been to remove statues of figures they regard as racist. Some of them are pie in the sky, such as one in Oklahoma City to open a grocery store in a black neighborhood (ordinarily, opening a grocery store in the U.S. is an economic decision by an entrepreneur who expects to make a profit and not have his store looted or burned down). So some of the demands seem reasonable, others not so much. I'm optimistic about the potential for compromise. Defunding the police is something I don't support, nor am I wild about removing statues. I don't mind getting rid of statues of Confederate heroes who took up arms against the U.S., but I think our Presidents need to stay, regardless of a checkered past. I'm also leery of radical organizations, cuz I think they inevitably go off the deep end in their demands. SDS and the Black Panthers had constructive roles to play in the protests of the 60s, but eventually their brands of radicalism had to be reigned in. If the BLM leadership is at all Marxist in its orientation, as has been alleged, I'd be skeptical about its prospects for long-run success. There isn't a revolutionary situation in this country in a Marxist sense.

I don't think she lost respect, and her record is quite impressive. There was lots of competition for the nomination, and she went the way of Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Michael Bennett, Julian Castro, Beto O'Rourke, etc.Biden was the favorite of the centrists and Bernie and Elizabeth were the favorites of the progressives. Harris was my first choice, but I figured she didn't have a realistic chance cuz she's African-American and a woman. Now she's in line for the 2024 nomination. We'll see.

I think she is a good VP choice. As far as her being a woman, I believe she identifies as cisgender, and has traditional pronouns, but I don't discount someone who doesn't. :)
It's a little bit like you were saying actually, about diversity of opinion. The people who identify as something in between, or being non-binary and therefore neither, or first one and then the other and then back again... they are being diverse I suppose.

Harris is really even keel. I think of her as a great anchor to tradition. But I don't think the Biden campaign really aspires to that. It may be that we just want to resemble that.

I think Harris being from California is on the pro side of pros and cons. She has a long history here too. But I think it's sort of a focal - people have a lot of energy on California.
