It’s an absurd economic argument that raising wages for the majority of Americans will cause layoffs. Meanwhile to concentration of wealth at the top is increasing at an increasing rate. What is wrong with this picture? The graduate economics classes I took in the 70s certainly didn’t include such bizarre and antisocial ideas.

Naaa, he'd be lamented for gentrification. And Trump's only been at this a couple of years, so really this falls squarely into the laps of the dug in politicians who have been neglecting their districts for many years already. Consider how Obama managed to successfully dodge this sort of criticism by calling out what he "inherited", year after year. The reality is that he accepted it when he raised his hand to become president, he owned it then.

Look how long these career politicians have been hanging out at the country club and jetting off to galas and Caribbean vacations while their districts became shit holes. Even Orkin says Baltimore is close to the top of the list for rat infestation (what race are rats again). Politicians generally don't dump trash though, they dump people.

 

I can only imagine what a KFC franchise would be like with Bernie running it!

The City of Baltimore is the front line in delivering city services the fact they're failing at it is proof of the widespread corruption and incompetence which many major metropolitan ares of the US are infested with.

Of course this is why we have layered government and separation of powers in the first place.

The bottom line is garbage lined streets , rats, crime, decaying neighborhoods, social breakdown aren't political liabilities as one tends to think, in fact the record shows that being mayor of a dysfunctional city can even get you elected governor it's only necessary to have the proper connections and you're " in like Flynn ".

 

Absolute power easily corrupts the easily corruptible, which is why its illegal to throw large sums of cash off the tops of tall buildings, and why Libertarians have made it illegal to vote for Mickey Mouse in Maryland, because America would have to colonize Mars to become more corrupt.

 

One in five Americans insists the sun revolves around the earth, while they've been voting for whoever advertises the most in virtually every local and national election for over twenty years. You might as well claim the Hatfields and McCoys were dumb hillbillies who were easily corrupted.

This is freaking hilarious folks. At least 1/3 of these people are wasting everybody's time and time is very very short. And why is the lineup for tonight ALL WHITE (except for that Indian liar)?

I'd wager most of tonight, beyond the usual whining about Trump, will be about "Medicare for All". I'm a veteran and even a cheapskate like me will avoid the VA. Government run healthcare absolutely sucks folks. Especially if you have a chronic condition.
