  1. Ok then, so what other legislation has he managed to get through?

  2. But, I thought it was going to be "free". Which is it? Add pressure to an already shrinking middle class? These are people who have not had a REAL raise in net worth since 1973.

He's sponsored 7 Bills that have been passed
Some were superfluous, like the post office one
But 2 were to better support veterans
7 may not sound like a lot but it's about average, only 4% of bills introduced are actually passed

If the amount of legislation passed is your metric stick, you do you, I'm not really arguing on you about that. I like him for other reasons
I just think its important not to spread misinformation

No one who actually wants a single payer system believes it is free, that's another empty talking point. We all know it would be paid for in taxes
And you're not getting the part that the middle class would pay less than they currently pay because single payer is a more cost effective system
How would it squeeze the middle class if their out of pocket costs would be lower than they currently are?
I have a 5000 deductible on top of $1500 in premiums plus an additional $100 for dental a month (additional $1200 a year, that is) plus that deductible, and I'm middle class. Did I mention that. I'm already being squeezed.

Also the same progressives who are in favor for Medicare for all are also in favor of addressing wage stagnation, so.

  5. And because American companies are bound by law to respect patent limitations while investing substantial funding to research and development that benefits the entire planet. Even Skylab comes into that sphere. Americans be all generous an sheeittttt!

  7. I fully understand, really I do. But the Obama years are OVER. The hard left is no longer working and without REAL compromise, the spirit of the US government, Trump's second term will be guaranteed. No amount of name calling can alter this. He already has the advantage of being in the top seat, and most presidents win a second term (GHW Bush was an odd exception).

Unless democrats produce another Bill Clinton, FAST, it's up to Biden. Most of the 20 democrat candidates have as many skeletons in the closet as the Clintons! It's time to thin the herd, but I stick by my assessment that Biden is their ONLY chance.

I don't think Trump is a very good candidate, sir. I'm concerned that you look forward to having him again! :)

He's a liar one. He seems like he may be fuzzy on racism. That's two. What else?

  9. Their only chance doesn't have a chance, then, because there's no way Biden can win. There's no excitement over Biden whatsoever. He's just the one with the most name recognition. And all you fools think he can sail on that.

Fortunately, Democrats are running out of establishment candidates with name recognition to run. Who's it gonna be after the next four years of Trump? Oh yeah...Kamala. Then she'll be the only one with a chance, right?

No one left to blame when Trump wins, either, except maybe yourselves. "Biden didn't win, but nobody else even stood a chance! (Because we didn't support them and just went with the person with the most name recognition who obviously has no substance whatsoever.)"

  10. No, I just see it as inevitable if the democrats don't back Biden.

  11. This is one of the better assessments of the last democrat debate I have seen. God bless Lucas!

That's a possibility. I don't like it though. I honestly wonder what's going to happen. The "what ifs" are like 20 heads deep? Yeah.

I would be ok with Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren, but I see some conflicts. Idk. Maybe they assume that none of their policies would get through Congress therefore it doesn't matter what they say now. It's really nice policy in my opinion, but I think the way that you get it done is by taxing.

  13. The Democrats are backing Biden. He leads in the polls. What, do you want everyone else to just drop out of the race right now?

Democrats backing Biden isn't enough. There's less excitement over him than there was over Hillary. A lot less. The only thing he's got going for him is that he's not quite as reviled as Hillary was. So, the hope is that maybe he can just quietly slip in. lol It's hopeless.

We're all supposed to vote for this guy who doesn't have anything...no ideas, certainly no new ideas, no policy... All he's got is, "When I was vice president Obama did this/when I was vice president Obama did that."

Compromise with who? Mitch McConnell? Trump's lap dog Lindsay Graham? I can think of one Republican who has retained his sanity (and distanced himself from his party), the rest are all in for Trump and have no interest in compromising with Democrats. To say Democrats need to compromise in today's political climate basically means they need to give Republicans everything they want and expect nothing in return, because the Republicans certainly wont compromise

And I find it funny that Democrats who favor policies that would help working and middle class, Democrats who would be seen as fairly moderate in most countries, have been labeled the "hard" or "radical" left in the US
    It's comical
    It's a farce

  16. It's silliness. I guess people like Writer think suddenly all the old cronies on either side of the isle are going to get all sentimental for the American people.

I also find it funny how people talk about Bernie's vast wealth and point out that he has a whopping three million dollars. Gee whiz, with riches like that...he could rule the world! He can buy anyone and anything!

Moscow Mitch as he's becoming to be known here in Kentucky. He blocked a bill to strengthen protection from overseas meddling in our elections. I hate him.
