  1. God I hate that lame puppet show comedian. A dude forced me to watch it once while feeding me leftover Hamburger Helper.

My vote is up for grabs, but I will say this: I'm crushing hard on Tulsi Gabbard. A Hawaiian surfer girl who is tough and confident and well poised. Not sure if I want to have beers or babies with her, but either way she is too cool for school.

Unfortunately, her past track record on regards to the LGBTQ community is less than stellar. But she's claiming she's changed.

The Asian guy (can't remember his name) seems sane and moderate which I like, but $1,000 a month to everyone? How the hell is that going to work?

Watching Biden debate is like watching my grandmother slide further into dementia. It's just sad and heartbreaking.

And then there's Trump. Nothing he could do or say could make me even consider voting for him. He had two years to prove to me he wasn't an absolute piece of fuckshit and he failed spectacularly, like I hoped he wouldn't, yet feared he would.

Basically, the 2020 election is a shit show top to bottom, but man that Tulsi Gabbard is somethin'.

if moderate dems turn out to vote, he will.

that can be said about any politician.

you seem to think the dems will retake the senate, and hold onto the house.

the us is not another country. the us has always been seen as right of center.

    it's called hypocrisy.

  5. How is it hypocrisy? He derides the billionaire class and has three million dollars. How is he supposed to be dirt poor, anyway, since he wrote a best selling book? I mean, people paid for the book and he got the money. Three million dollars is actually very meager, though. At best it will be a nest egg for his grandchildren, I'm sure. I'm perfectly fine and happy with Bernie having three million dollars. And I hardly think that makes him a part of the untouchable class, since I have friends with more money than that. And I live in a garage.

Come on man, this is a talking point taken straight from Fox News

Or do you honestly believe when Sanders talks about how the top 1% should pay their fare share in taxes and how CEOs should pay their workers fair wages before taking huge bonuses for themselves, he's really just talking about authors who make a decent living from book sales?

What is your infatuation with the old man? Seems that as a woman you would support Warren, as I do.
btw, I don't watch, or listen, to Faux news so I don't know any of their talking points.

I'm not calling out your talking points because I'm infatuated with him, I am doing so because I dislike the pushing of a dishonest narrative
And you know as well as I do that calling someone a hypocrite for fighting against corporate interests and the transformation of our country into an oligarchy, and also making a little money off book sales, is a dishonest narrative

I would never vote for someone based on gender alone
But I do like Elizabeth Warren too. She would make a great president.
I would especially be happy with a Sanders/Warren, or Warren/Sanders ticket

Might as well vote for Jill Stein. If either Bernie or Elizabeth gets the nomination, as is unlikely, they'd do well to pick a less outspokenly radical running mate than each other--unless there is some popular enthusiasm for a socialist restructuring of America I'm unaware of. Bernie labors under a couple of handicaps: demography and political misbranding. Demographically, he's a 77 year-old Jewish agnostic born and raised in Brooklyn and representing a New England state. Not that I have anything against aging Jewish Yankee agnostics, but there's historic prejudice against them, particularly in those heartland states that control the electoral college. Of course, the age factor may not be an issue if Biden and Trump are the competition. But he also has the self-inflicted wound of the "Socialist" label which he advertises and defends. One might say he has the courage of his convictions and shows he's not like the other politicians, but he's really not a Socialist (not calling for government takeover of the means of production and distribution), so it seems rather Quixotic on his part to lead with his chin on the issue. I think Trump and the Republicans would be able to exploit these weaknesses with devastating effect in 2020. And unlike 2016, he has competitors from his party in the Progressive lane.

^Are you suggesting I allow other people's racism to influence my vote? Because people in the midwest dont like Jews, I shouldn't vote for a Jew?

Anyways you're pushing a dishonest narrative too, that Bernie cant beat Trump. There's nothing to back that up. Polls consistently show he can beat Trump by a decent margin.

I'm in a red state anyways, I might as well vote for Jill Stein. It wouldnt make a difference. But I am definitely voting for someone who represents my interests in the primaries.

No, you can vote for whomever you want. I'm voting for the candidate I think has the best chance of beating Trump. I'm stating what I think is still a political reality: it's a risk factor, as are the others I mentioned. If defeating Trump is the prime objective, as it is for me, I'd want to eliminate as many of those as possible. But the polls still show Sanders beating Trump--not by as much as Biden (who has his own drawbacks).

I feel nauseous listening to some democrats complaining about Sanders book sales yet Nancy Pelosi 's 26+ million net worth has never been brought up.
Hillary Clinton's millions and book sales never came up.
John Kerry's 700+ million from the Heinz fortune never came up.
Al Gore's millions from book sales never came up.

I could list many more but the point is made .

Selective condemnation and making an issue of honest income is un-American in the first place and should never be tolerated .

Lol This forum seems fucked where it comes to serious convos because of people like you. How is adding 'are you ok' (however it may be ment) a deflection? If it was the only thing in that reply it likely would be but that isn't the case at all...

Possibly because they never made a deal about soaking the rich and attacking capitalism. I think it's an unspoken factor though. I could never understand how anybody could get as rapidly rich as the Clintons honestly just from their speaking engagements. I'm afraid 2020 will be a replay of the '72 election when the Progressives were riding high in the party, McGovern-Ferraro were the ticket, and the Democrats carried only one state. Judging from the last debate, it's already turned into a circular firing squad. But on the bright side, after '72 came impeachment hearings and Nixon's resignation in the face of it.

That's dumb. First of all, Warren isn't the only woman running, and even if she were, women having to vote for other women because, vagina, is just ridiculous.

Plus, I'm with you - if i'm voting on vagina alone, Tulsi's vagina has my vote all day every day

  19. I've never suggested anything but the opposite of what you're trying to attach to me. I'm not a "fan" for either side, I'm just calling it the way I see it unfolding. The cronies on both sides are not doing anything new, though the democrats seem to be loud and proud about their desire to see the US become socialist. Because it has worked out so well for so many other nations.

I'd love to see new ideas. Let me know when that happens.
