Movie Spoiler Alert:
The movie concludes with the realization that most people pretend to understand the magnitude of these problems such as a migration crisis. Because of this, the media paints a different picture of this issue than what the agenda-driven narratives they are willing to share with us. Lauren herself thought she understood the problem, but after going in, she realizes there is so much more gray area. The migrants for the most part are not going into Europe with the intent of religious invasion in the name of Islam, nor were they fleeing danger. These are media myths. They are people from a multitude of different backgrounds. While some are refugees fleeing war, many more are economic migrants who've been told a lie that Europe is a utopia where they can escape to for a "guaranteed" improved life by human traffickers and globalist government officials. Many of these "refugees" had enough money to invest in a ticket to get on these boats. Some actually sold homes that they owned in their home country, in order to try and make the voyage.

There are lots of people who virtue signal for open borders, hold up signs that say "Refugees Welcome" and sit at the sea ports to greet the migrants when they arrive. Yet where are these people when the cold winters set in, while the immigrants are sleeping in the street with makeshift cardboard shelters? The migrants seeking a better life get screwed. And the native-born Europeans get screwed with a housing price crisis. In the end, the natives and the migrants lose, while the traffickers get richer.

 

How do you know her version of reality is correct and that "the media's" version is false? Ms. Southern has a track record for agenda-driven narratives. Why should we assume this one is any different? Her agenda is to discredit the migrants and those who help them--the better to advance the Nativist Know Nothing agenda of white nationalism. The posture of concern for the poor, exploited migrants seems insincere in light of her past record.

LOL, she made a documentary last year about how minority populations in South Africa are being oppressed into impoverished conditions, and even worse. It's just leftist propaganda that paints all anti-marxists as haters of the poor. Indeed, the left LOVES the poor soooo much; that's why they keep making so many poor people. They also rely heavily on white nationalists as a boogyman to scare the gullible into voting their way.

 

McCain was like 98 % of the rest of Congress he arrived young and energetic out to change the system but the system changed him and he wound up being just another mealy mouthed politician. Sad really , what an institution that is known as the people's house does to a man or woman but we've heard this story many times over and in a few years someone else will be described in just the same way as I've described McCain.

No doubt the murder rate in South Africa is unacceptably high, and farm murders do occur, but Southern appears to blows it out of proportion. A 2016 Lancet study found 500 white deaths from violence, 2.7% of the population--a 28% drop from 2000. Mortality trends and differentials in South Africa from 1997 to 2012: second National Burden of Disease Study - ScienceDirect Farm murders peaked at 153 in 1998. The evidence is incomplete and contradictory. Who Owns South Africa? There are dangerous firebrands, like Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Fighters, in South Africa, but Ms. Southern is cynically and irresponsibly pouring gasoline on the smouldering embers of racism left over from the apartheid era.

 

There are an incredible amount of white South Africans working in China illegally.

Most claim it’s because of the racial tension back home, but when you get them drunk they spill the beans and admit it’s because China’s currency is worth around double.

john McCain was a war vet and career hero. Nothing can discolor that in my mind. I would never characterize him as 'mealy mouthed'.

McCain is everything you say and was the last vestige of honor the republican party had, but he was a politician who lived to regret what his own party had become. Lie to yourself often enough, even if you are lying for other people, and the truth eventually catches up to you. He lived just long enough to see the fruits of all his labor realized in Neo-Nazis and KKK running his party into the dirt and sweeping him aside like a dust bunny. Its as if we won the war against the Nazis and then the Russians, only to have them thank us for giving them the republican party, and McCain was enough of a warrior to know what nightmares he had wrought.

 

Actually her conclusions in Farmlands were that it isn't a genocide quite yet. But the nation is at a turning point where a genocide could begin, or it could be halted. Seems that most people in the media would rather ignore it and wait until it's too late to stop something horrific. The white population in South Africa have inhabited the area before the Mayflower landed on the shores of the USA.

Secondly, I'm 99.9% sure Southern didn't begin this film project with the intent to paint migrants and refugees with the same brush as "invaders" with the intent of bringing down western civilization in the name of Islam. And I am more than 100% certain she does not have a white nationalist agenda that you're painting her with. But for argument's sake, lets assume she made the film with the intent to vilify all the migrants coming in to Europe by portraying them the same as the ones who attacked all the women in Cologne on New Years. If that were the case, then maybe she had a Cassie Jaye moment where she realized that the story she tried to get, didn't match the reality. Cassie Jaye was a feminist documentary maker who tried to film a documentary to vilify the Mens Rights Activists as they are stereotyped in the media (rape apologists, mysoginists, etc.), but she found out that they were not anti-women after all, and that there are actually social discrepancies that men are actually facing. When Jaye tried to tell her story about the message behind the MRAs, the international media tried to censor her movie. So she came to her senses and stopped being a feminist. I could see that would be the case for Lauren Southern if that was the intent of her movie from the beginning, but it wasn't. Her intent was to show the problems of open border policies and who suffers from them.

But I won't lose any sleep over the fact that you'll never take a just a little glimpse at either film and see things in a greater picture. Just stick with your Paul Fieg "Ghostbusters" DVD and call yourself Woke.

You might as well do a reality TV show for them. These idiots get paid for their names and faces getting splashed all over the mass media and internet.

 

Yes, Dutch settlers drove the Khoi and San people from their lands and stole their livestock, using their superior firepower. And the intrepid white minority accomplished the remarkable feat of preserving minority rule for centuries thereafter by a brutal system of oppression and segregation, formalized in 1948 as apartheid--a combination of Jim Crow and the Trail of Tears, only it was the minority doing the oppressing of the majoriy. Blacks were forcibly relocated to so called "homelands" or Bantustans. In 1913, they passed a law (conveniently omitted from Southern's selective summary of South African history) appropriating 93% of the arable farmland to whites, then less than 20% of the population and relegating the black majority to 7% of the remaining arable But now the shoe is on the other foot, and the Suidlanders, are understandably scared, even though statistically, in proportion to their numbers, they have less chance of being murdered than the non-white population. There are so many oppressed victims of abuse and genocide in the world today: Myanmar's Rohinga, Iraq's Yazidis, etc. Why did Ms. Southern pick the Suidlanders for her documentary? Maybe because they're white, and feed into the overall narrative of her propaganda designed to play upon white fears of being overwhelmed by a nonwhite tide. Lol. since I think you and she are on the same level in terns of agendas and veracity, you hardly serve as the best reference re her character and motives.

It's quite obvious that her intent was to stoke nativist fears of the immigrant tide. Ms. Southern's track record as a propagandist is clear, as is the intent of her documentary. She tries to convey an air of objectivity, so she is more nuanced than, say, Alex Jones, but the agenda is clear nevertheless.

I've watched both of them in toto.

Why did she pick that group of people? Probably because not many journalists were willing to talk about that problem. Seems that standing up for white people of any socioeconomic status, or geographically oppressed population in any context has become politically incorrect these days.

I can totally understand from the perspective of an individual as to why they would want to flee their deteriorating, corrupt, or at-war country for a better life in a wealthier and more stable nation.

But can you imagine what Europe would look like today if everyone fled the National Socialist regime, rather than stay and fight?

Sometimes, when a smarter, more talented, skilled, and innovative entrepreneurial individual migrates from one country to another, that country loses a person who could be essential in making their home nation a better place for their fellow countrymen.
