    I'm still here!

Nothing of importance has happened today, but yesterday I:

    1. Went out for Champagne Afternoon Tea, then came home.
    2. Then went out for dinner and cocktails, then came home.
    3. Then dragged people back out for more champagne, because I was in the mood :D then came home.

Good to hear all is well with you! I envy your exciting life: Being a recluse is not all it's cracked up to be. A book might be good, but people are always better. Plus I'm still sneezing from all the dust. :D

    3. made dinner and realised I forgot a few (other) things >_______<

that is a double fail in my eyes. :-/

Actually I went with a list the first time so triple fail?

I'm fine - sent you a PM about Chicago and resigning myself to the 30+ hour bus trip to Miami tomorrow.

The day is new so haven't done much:

    1. Logged onto Internet while my laundry is running.
    2. Studied map how to get from St. Charles MO to St. Ann.
    3. Going to try to drive thru my old suburb today after visiting mom in the hospital.

There are no failures in life - only lessons. Don't be so hard on yourself. :)

    1. Bought a new DVD: Starman. Never saw it before, but it's totally awesome. And I got it for $5.99. :)

    2. Still throwing out a bunch of old stuff. I'm trying to keep only what I truly use and need.

    3. Got to watch a cute guy fix my kitchen sink. I seldom have company, so this was a rare treat. :D

Again, I can only do yesterday.

    1. Went to a Historic Town with my Father like man.
    2. Had Tea in the Castle.
    3. Felt so cold at home, I ended up staying over at my Father like man's house and drank lovely whisky and actually had a cigar.

    1. Helped an old friend and his wife move into a house here on my farm. They're coming back to southern Illinois after being in Wisconsin for 20 years.

    2. Cleaned and moved a ton of junk in my shop for the addition of all his woodworking tools!

    3. Celebrated their return with a bunch of folks out here on the hilltop...what a joy!!

It's rich to have old friends back around...all the good old history together makes a fun foundation for the new maddness we'll create. great medicine for an old man.

    Today:

    1. Tried not to be too miserable on a 30 hour bus ride from St. Louis to Miami with no appreciable sleep.

    2. Arrived home to a stack of mail, a full month of work backed up at work, and a letter from the court that I have to appear there for jury duty on Monday instead of tackling all that work.

    3. Went to store to replinish all perishables that I got rid of 3 weeks ago and now just chillin, getting supper and back to my normal routine.
