I think the turbulence had something to do with space travel but then, how can their be turbulance in an environment without an atmosphere, like space?

In all the movies and shows about space, all the spacecraft are aerodynamically shaped, sleek looking space vehicles, but, for space travel itself, just in space, it's pointless because of no atmosphere. You only need aerodynamics when coming to and from another planet that has an atmosphere, but not "space" itself as there's no aero effects that will effect the shape of the spacecraft itself. =p

I saw it on a documentary and so it must be true. :)

So all those big commanding ships on Star Wars may as well be huge lego blocks. But that's certainly wouldn't look as cool. =p

I've seen dead mans shoes, it's a UK move. I forget what it's about though. I was really off my head when I watched it. :D

Was a time where I'd rent 7 movies a week and burn them off. I started getting into the worst movies I could find. If it looked shite, I needed to watch it and not even B grade horror flicks, these ones were just D grade absolute terrible can't believe they were funded type of stuff. :D

Those ships have to be in the atmosphere...just because they aren't 100% of the time dosnt mean they are better made to be square blocks.

just looked at his post, read the linked article.
I have my doubts that Wu Li actually knows what it is about.

His post? I thought it was a female.

I'll tell you exactly what's going on. They look at Facebook all day and pick and choose posts that sound interesting to them then elaborate in their own words what's already in the links.

    case and point: sciencedaily.com

I'm trying to feed red macintosh apples to deer 40 feet from me. I lob the apples within a foot or two of their hooves. They smell the apples but walk away or seem uninterested.
Out of all the different kinds of apples, do deer really know the difference? Do they like specific kinds of apples? Do they even like apples?.....

I'll check tomorrow morning to see if the apples are gone. Unless some other critters eat them first.

I would almost bet that several times this person has referred to themselves as a she. I've always thought it was a woman.

As usual, I quite enjoy reading your perspective on things, Irmi. :) I think you are unusually perceptive for a young woman. lol I don't mean to put down young people...I see way too much of that shit. It seems that many of the young people that find their way to here at hf and stay here are above average in relatively every way.

I miss that damn thumbs up emoji.

That is so cool, Pete. I live where deer are subject to come through a person's windshield if you don't go slow on the back roads and keep your eyes open...and I'm really fascinated by them.

I'm fairly certain they eat apples. They probably don't want to let their guard down enough to do that while you are around.

Of course I could be totally wrong. :D

I MUST share this...my mother's car - the 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is about to be sold.

One of my old time partying buddies (and occasional dealer :D ) stopped by the house the other day and asked if we wanted to sell her. It won't crank - the battery finally went dead. You actually have to drive a car from time to time to keep the battery from going dead. :p There is also a flat tire, which NOBODY that comes into this house was going to help Mama get fixed.

My friend's plan is to completely restore it. He has a boy around 16 yrs old and his kid was with him. I forget what all he said but I'm under the definite impression his plan is for this to be his and his kid's project.

Mama is getting $250 for it.

The end of an era is here.

She should have had the top of that car redone 25 yrs ago (or at least 20 lol)...it is a true rag top now. The top will have to be welded off, and another one welded on, and covered. It is so rusted that one day it would have fallen on someone. Her head is hard enough it wouldn't have hurt her.

    THAT'S A JOKE. :D

You're right though about the car being worth more. It has the original 350 block motor and original miles are under 100K. But this guy has plans for it, and it'll be okay. :) Seats are leather but the floor board is thin, and it smells moldy to me.

He has his/their work cut out for him/them.

I get excited over car racing and football and stuff. And guns. And explosions. And girls. =p

One day at the pub someone was discussing the huge harpoon on the whaling ships how bad it was etc. i told them "I'd love to have a go of that!" :D just once. >.> maybe to a dead whale. But whatever. I think that would be heaps fun. :)

    Shaped like toilets?? :D

Not that I'll be playing much there but I've got approved a pool table at work =p the angry lady nobody likes say it's a waste of money. I told her "true. We should have gotten a snooker table".

It's totally not waste at all. Bring in a table and the guests will play. :) I'm sure it'll be coin operated though. Still, it's fun for drinking with people and playing that's the idea.

I'm in a hot bath first bath in days so, bucketing out those nasty skin toxins. :)
