I can't bring myself to really care about Area 51. I honestly believe we would know if there were another sentient civilization. Someone would surely tell us. Presidents or generals or scientists. Someone would certainly agree that we have the right to know.

 

Cave men had no right to know how to make nuclear weapons, and the military would classify their own bullshit if they could comprehend their own stupidity.

There have been leaks, soulcompromise. Major Marcel himself said there was a cover-up at Roswell, that what he saw was certainly not a weather balloon, and he believed it to be a flying saucer. They can and have kept it under wraps. Even the president doesn't know what higher ups in the military know. It's not like they brief the president on things like that.

 

There is a number of UFO researchers and investigators who have have died of heart attacks, sudden onset of cancers, and supposed suicides. This is where the whole thing stops being humorous and murky instead.

The movement to storm Area 51 is positive, because it can spur further movements which can bring much needed auditing and accountability in the system.

So aliens are intelligent enough to develop technology that sends them 1,000s of light years through space safely, then they crash in New Mexico. Bummer.

I agree, IF extraterrestrials have visited our planet it likely wasn't recently (like in the last couple of millenia). Transdimensial beings, who knows? But I'm inclined to conclude they aren't connected to UFO sightings
