Some people go by this philosophy: we're all going to die some day, so we might as well seize the moment. That annoys me. I happen to go by this philosophy: we're all going to die some day, so what's the point of doing anything?
I tend to go by the philosophy that everything has a neccessary purpose to fulfil in the progression of History. What do you think of it?
because taking part in activities that fulfill those purposes is useless. They'll eventually come to a pitiful end, so what is the use in doing anything?
I think that's quite dandy for your own logical view on things. But not for me. I'm just too much of a cynic.
I really hate it when people tell me to cheer up/be happy/be optimistic/turn to religion/question me and/or my cynical-ity.
Well absolute enlightenment maybe unattainable but do you really hold, the belief that all people are equally enlightened, or un-enlightened ?
...that depends. Like younger people tend to be unenlightened because of crazy adjustments in the conversion of child-to- teen-to-adult life. Some older people tend to be more enlightened because they have more knowledge due to more experiences. And hopefully, they found a purpose in their life by then.
