If my bf slapped me for not getting dinner on time etc (if we ever live together, were only 14 now) I'd beat his fucking ass into the ground. Thank goodness he's not like that.

I wouldn't have to worry because my man does all the cooking so I guess it would be my responsibility to hit him if dinner is late.

I'm kind of with imaginary being in saying it is bollocks. I have a hard time believing that these statistics are true. If they are though, that is pretty fucked up.

 

I obviously live here, it's a really silly thing to say. We're all about a politically correct system here, traditional values or antiquated 'male superiority' complexes are a thing of the distant past.

It's like me saying because Americans own guns they all must want to kill people. That is equally silly :coffee:

 

But how do we know that you aren't one of the ones secretly promoting wife abuse? Hmmmm? Maybe you are just saying that it is silly because you don't want people to suspect.... Hmmmm?

I think the statistics are basically true. It's not 80% of British men think it's ok to hit their wife if dinner is late, it's 12 year olds. 12 year olds were used for a reason, their blank slates that are sponges for culture. 12 year olds have no real developed morals, interaction with most of the adult world or social knowledge, they feed of what they see on TV and movies and what they're told by their parents. The study didn't ask the kids if they in the future would hit their wives if dinner was late, they were asked if they thought it was ok. The point is through what 12 year olds have learned through culture media, especially remember the fact 12 year olds don't see through sarcasm, black humor, ect. and take everything at face value, they've come to the conclusion that if someone did hit their wife it is acceptable behavior.


Also it's true, Americans do want to kill and we do in fact basically all own guns. But guns are pretty awesome.

 

It's like having a hand-held dick that never runs out of semen and can kill in an instant.

 

It's interesting the way 12-year-old mentality and American mentality are referred to in the same post. That's just about the symbolic point where America's overall psyche has been arrested in its development as a nation.

Actually, I've never even touched a gun, but maybe someday...

 

Not many people, especially parents, will agree, but slapping kids helps to enforce the view described in the article. You're telling a kid it's wrong to use violence, but then SHOWING THEM that it's O.K. if someone has done something that they believe is "wrong".

What this means is 10 people were asked, in a country of millions, and still only 9 agreed. Oh, and those 9 had enrolled themselves into a clown academy for the next education year, and figured the shoes would be nice for the smarter of clown occasions.

I can't offer any credible information, at least not for the whole of the UK, because I live the country and so I have first hand knowledge that at least here- it's all complete nonsense.
