Despite your assertion that proof of the black box boils down to one man's word, you've once again forgotten that the Director of the New York Emergency Management Office reported to the Governor of New York that investigators reported picking up the pinging signal from one of the black boxes. These investigators included “14 personnel” of U.S. Army’s CECOM (Communications Electronics Command), in addition to FBI and USAR (Urban Search and Rescue), from whom “a ten-man team is using acoustic sensors and direction finders to locate the audio transmitters (pingers) on the recorders. The NTSB was involved, too, helping to set up six observation/camera points to help guide FDNY and USAR to the area emitting the signal.

When I told you this the first time, you responded by telling me that it later came to be believed that the signal came from something else emitting the same frequency. When I asked you to cite the source of this information so that I would not be forced to merely take your word for it, you refused to do so. This leaves everyone with the impression that you made it up.

I do not care what it leaves everyone with.
Again one source said that some black boxes were found. A signal is not finding black boxes. So proof is not one persons statement.

If you have some information about the character of Nicholas DeMasi which would lend support to the idea that he is a known liar, or that he cannot be trusted to tell the truth, or that he recanted, then share it. The fact that his account is corroborated by investigators who picked up the pinging signal from a black box in the WTC debris would seem to lend support to his account.

Furthermore, if you have some information that confirms that it was later believed that the pinging signal that the investigators picked up was actually coming from something else--oh wait, you've already said that that is exactly what happened. Now if you would just provide the source from which you got this information so that we can finally know who it was that came to believe the investigators were wrong, and why they came to believe these investigators were wrong, and what the pinging signal was really coming from, we can finally conclude this aspect of the discussion and move on to the next point. So, cite your source.
