a more descriptive name would probably be reactionary mundaneness.
not that this is what i come here looking for.
truly thoughtful benign strangeness is what would make this place gratifying, at least to me, and i do believe, once upon a time that is what it started out to be.
but that was literally many many years ago. and with a very different crew.
people who loved each other and loved what the world we all have to live in could be.

I think a new name would breath new life into this place.

 

That is such a UK answer. Americans never use the word merry except at Christmas.

 

Yet, the merry pranksters were themselves American.
