oh, and a-camp is not the biggest mistake of the rainbow gathering. Understaffed Welcome Home Camp is the Biggest mistake of the gathering.

    But don't ask me. .. . . i wouldn't know good advice from a nasty PM.

    Hey now...

I'm back after a couple days.....yeah Rastapatch---that sounds very fun - I will love to take you up on that one and maybe my kidlings can too---good teaching them being of service to our brothers and sisters is an honor!

Hey, did you ever see my Rainbow site with some pics from West virginia?---here's a link--- http://www.earthstarvillage.zoomshare.com/ Ya gotta click on photos for a link or two to see the pics--and i recomend them bigger and not just thumbnail size too.

My kids are starting to give me shit about missing the 4th of July fireworks---what can I say to them? Don't they remember the cool/kind time we have with our family in church/cathedral of nature?

Tell them that fireworks are bad for the environment. Look it up first so you can say the right things.
Tell them that i will teach them to juggle and other clown stuff.

rastapatch I don]t assume high holies can]t deal with an emergency, Im only saying that they are generally passifist and , hate to say it but, sometimes a lil physical self defense or other peoples defense is necessary.

I'll admit that I havent spent any time at all in A camp, never having been to an American gathering. I have spent a bit of time at pirate camp though, similiar vibes I believe. I love the pirates.

Crystaleyez, i really like your post. You always try to keep your vibe clean and sensible.

But if you think for even one moment that violence is ever better than holiness, then you still have more learning to do.
It's only my opinion, but when i was twenty i thought violence was neccessary. I have since seen holy folk just command entire crowds with just their tone and intensity.

There are times when a violent person may be able to improve your situation, but there is never a time when having a violent person with you is better than having a saint with you.

Perhaps i am wrong though, and you are right. # :)

I just wanted to say something, anything good about A camp. people like to bash them and complain about them and there is good in everyone and everyone has purpose. I dont consider high holies saints either. Alot of them seem to me be pretenders, and have very very dark sides that one doesn't see often. Alot of "high holies" dont even have time for those who dont sport dreadlocks or who eat meat or dont dress like a "hippy." Perhaps my definition and your definition of high holy is different. I remember one guy that got up in the main circle in Quebec to say,"OK people, its not OM its AUM. Lets get this right."
Now as someone that has remnants of victim conciousness left in her psyche I sometimes attract strange or dangerous situations to myself. I dont know any saints but sometimes wind up hangin round people whose protective instincts perk up when Im around. Im OK with that. I tend not to see bad in people until its too late. Some of my friends can tell right away if a persons motives are less than pure. Violence is never good, but Id rather not just sit and take it either. Many "high holies," do what I tend to do and retreat from any situation that is not happy and good. Im glad there are some rainbow warriors out there.

i could say plenty of good things about A camp/front gate..

but untill folks see for themselves the reality of what the kynd folks with good intentions there are all about..

they will live with there own perceptions an misenterpretations..

I am aware that there are folks who use the term high holy when that is not what is really there. I have never heard a person refer to themselves as high holy so how is it that these others are refered to in this way?

It is ironic that the habit is fed by folks who do not mean high or holy when they say it. Strange. If they do not mean high or holy, why do they say high or holy? Do you not believe there is such a thing as holy? Why use the term for anything else?

Maybe we need another term for those folks, like 'pretenders' or something? :)

    I think you are wonderful.

i personally have yet to meet a rainbow elder that i would refer to as a "high holy",, unless it was meant in a derogatory fashion..

i have however met many a rainbow elder who i have deep admiration for,,but i feel they to would be offended if i were to refer to them as a "high holy"..
