this is a brilliant statement. I think we all need to remember that none of us are any better than the next person.

btw - i think wisdom is the ability to have an answer ready for a question. just my definition.

do onto others as you would have done onto yourself. people who do not follow this rule are wrong and that will never change.

being wise does not make you any better of a person in the end. we all get to the same place eventually. it is a fact of life that some are further along than others when it comes to knowing the truth and the difference between right and wrong.

reading what some of you people think about this subject makes me feel sorry for you. to argue that there is no right and wrong and this is all a matter of opinion is obviously wrong. trying to protect yourself from having to learn about being wrong maybe. did you miss the points i made about the obvious and common sense. it will never be right to do certain things. if you affect others in a negative way then you are wrong. whether or not you like the color blue is an opinion. whether or not it is ok to hurt someone is fact not an opinion.

there are many people in the world who would have people like you locked up. people who don't know the difference between right and wrong or people who think that right and wrong is a matter of opinion are called sociopaths. usually i don't like to use such labels but in this case i feel there is no better way to describe your mentality.

i would never trust someone who thinks that right and wrong is always an opinion. with that mentality you could justify whatever you want to. sorry people, but reality has laws and karma will make sure you understand the difference between right and wrong whether or not you feel like you have the right to your own opinion.

3x1, I dont think you really understand what prismatism is saying, what she says doesnt deny the existence of laws and karma. What is right and wrong for yourself is entirely subjective. For example: I believe being a vegetarian is right, I got friends who believe is wrong. I believe the use of psychedelics can be rights, I have friends who think all drugs are wrong. I'm very sure prism, doesnt think going and killing a person is right, but what if it's self defense? is it still wrong then? So really, there's a lot of subjectivity in what is right and wrong.
I, for one, find it very wrong that you accuse her (and me? I dont know if Im included in the sociopath diagnose) cause of misinterpretation of what is being said, but it's just more of the same thing, is just an opinion.
I think you take things way into the extremes, and that's just another opinion :)

if you are going to say that right and wrong is opinion you should take into account what you are actually saying. if she meant that only some times right and wrong is up to opinion than she should have said so - she didn't so she must mean that all right and wrong is opinion.

like i said - some things in life are up to opinion. but not everything.

her statement is broad and all encompassing. i am sure that she does not actually understands what she is saying.

i understand what i read very well. she is confused. so are you for thinking that she has a valid point. read what i wrote again.

like i said - whether or not you like the color blue is opinion. whether or not it is ok to murder someone is fact.

she can not say that right and wrong is opinion when there are many things in life that are either right or wrong and opinion has nothing to do with it. i have made my case very clear, the only reason for her to continue with her argument is that she is being stubborn. she should take some more time to really try to understand the argument.

dont waste your pity on me.

dude you DO always take stuff to the extreme. right and wrong is subjective. what if i was raised in seclusion by people that told me since birth that it is ok to kill everyone that i want to. so i live my life doing just that thinking it is perfectly fine. your sense of morals comes from how you were raised and the environment around us.

oh and calling us sociopaths because we dont think like you would be.......wrong?

personally i think you are always locked in your own convictions so deep that you never even listen to anyone else. the truth is, that none of us will know that truth until we get there brother.

btw. i think relayer is high or something.

i agree with both 3xi and you guys on this one. do unto others as you would have done to you is so key. but in my opinion if somebody kidnapped or raped my daughter or something (GOD FORBID) i would want them dead and i would have no problem doing it myself.

not true--i was raised in an organized crime family and was raised to believe that in some cases murder wasn't only justified but honourable. deep deep down it always made me feel very uneasy....no matter how many times it was drilled into my head that some people deserve to die i knew in the depths of my soul that it was "wrong". in my head i never used the word "not advisable, or in my oppinion" fuck that--it felt WRONG. thank god it did or i could have EASILY been led to that life...instead i created a very very VERY different life for myself...one that felt "right"

some things feel very wrong...not just for me--but for the energy these actions spill out into the world. i don't believe in "legal" law but i sure as hell have a respect for "universal laws"--what i put out there i will get back...so i am very discerning of what i put out there.

everyone is so afraid of the word "wrong" --ok then, let's find another word..."not advisable", "creation of a shit consequence," "of low resonance," "an asshole thing to do" etc. if you rape a kid....its fucking wrong--what the fuck else would you call it?

Spill water from a earthen ware rice bowl over a magic tortoise shell, count the wet lines, the course of action will be revealed. Just stick to your hexigram! The dragons are in the meadow and spring is on it's way here, many thunderstorms!

    great argument....

regular murder (as in the kid murdered or brutalized for no reason except to feed someone's "oppinion that its ok to rape or kill a child") if that wasn't "wrong" then you would have no right to seek vengence.

on that note--i don't know that vengence is the wisest choice...its a choice made in anger but myCHAINisGUCCI i hear ya......when its a parental thing there is an animal instinct that is rather overwhelming.

i watched a movie last night "he was a quiet man" -the main character was out for blood. he was a disgruntled exployee with a gun and he had targets (and honestly--you couldn't blame the guy....his targets were a stain on the human race) his argument was that most species will sacrifice a member of the herd if it were to save the pack (as in disease etc) --some might say the world would be a better place if pedefiles weren't on it....and what an easy way to be rid of them--let the parents of the victims have a few minutes alone. i couldn't blame them....i could empathise....but is that wise? would it be wrong? think the boondock saints......made killing for god look great....but what about stuff like jihad....they believe they killed for god....so did the crusaiders......does that make it ok...or was it wrong? burning witches was ok?

oh, & for those of you that don't believe in right or wrong.......if someone rapes and kills your kid you have no reason to be pissed....because nothing "wrong" happened-according to YOU.

i'd like to think that god forbid i be faced with that horror that i would shift to forgiveness...i would find love in that.....because our capacity to love is the only reason the aliens haven't zapped us out....love is the only reason we survive and how can more hate, more violence heal anything and if that happened to my child healing is what i would need the most.

mara, this isn't what i would call seclusion. your family may have been like that, but you were still raised in society. people other than your family must have influenced you.

just to clear things up, i in no way advocate rap or murder or anything. i was just agreeing with that girl that right and wrong is truely subjective. when i said raised in seclusion i mean SECLUSION. like the only people that influence you all agree with each other.

Thats the thing though. You can both be right.
Everything is statistical to it's core.
And human thought is composed of a substance
that can inhabit the same exact space. The
amount of thought that can inhabit the same space
is infinite. There is no need to classify thoughts
or move them around, or change them because
there is enough room for all of them, no matter
    what they are.
Knowing pure, absolute truth is not acquiring
any 'thing' or 'wisdom' or 'knowledge'. It's merely
having the underlying will of energy to recognize
whats already there. The infinite space available
for your own thought forms, and the potential
to craft your absolute truth out of the astral.
And by the mere nature of energy, at the highest
point everyone invaraibly, and accidentally, crafts
    the same thing.
I see no value in contemplating duality or operating
yourself through such notions. Everything is absolute
truth because that is all what it aims towards and will
all reach, no matter what. There is no reason to
    waste time wondering about 'wrong'.
The real question in relation to that and what
puzzles most people is. By accepting what I just
said how do you then not become a huge egotistical
asshole or the schizo madman running down the street
claiming to be the new incarnate of Jesus Christ?
Well, to me it's simple. All you need is good taste. :)

sounds like you are saying that it is impossible for her to have figured this out on her own. you must not know how to make up your own mind.

oh lord help me here we go again.

my whole point when i said that right and wrong is subjective is this.

all you are is the combined efforts of everyone and everything that has ever influenced you.
that being said, if all you were ever taught from day one that our definition of what is wrong is actually right, and never influenced otherwise, then how would you know any otherwise?

do you honestly think that anyone does that?

it is something you get a feel for. if you don't know that something is wrong then you might have to learn the hard way.

as for the rest of what you said - did you just change your mind or something? you don't believe that wisdom exists? if you do what is it?
