No they didn't do any pre-heat thing. They should have though! Shaking violently right after back surgery can't be good! I'll let you know how that part plays out...

All the pills I use have APAP. I'm on Vics now, and I'll do Percs the night I get home. Back to Vics on day 2. Only Tylenol on day 3. Day 4 = no pain meds. I can't wait to get off the damn pills. I'm not a pill guy, I just like to burn it down and that's about it.

*If someone wants to complain about another’s pill intake, immediately after back surgery would be the wrong time. ;)

    Thanks man. :)

I got out of surgery 16 hours ago, and I quit the pills already. To each their own, all back surgeries are different, but I'm so glad to done with them.

Try to consider your 1st week to be an extension of your hospital stay. Take it easy on that back man. ;)

I had abdominal surgery and unfortunately this was at a time my opiate tolerance was skyhigh. 4 incisions and tying off some of my stomach (had reflux) was HELL. When I woke up I was begging for something to ease it and he gave me 4mg Dilaudid which didn't help. The rest of the time I was on the PCA pump with morphine. I could get 1.5mg every 5 minutes. I'd start to feel comfortable after like 4 or 5 presses. Another guy I saw there was lucky enough to have a PCA Pump full of Fentanyl!
