They have a potential to attack to protect their owners or property.

They are large and powerful. Originally bred to fight alongside the Roman Army.

Here's a size comparison I found on line.

Holy shit and two of them......guess i know what kind of dog to get to protect me......but geez, you would have to really trust something that could kill you...animals are unpredicatable...they can go mentally ill just like poeple and snap and stuff......too.....
I miss my german shepherd....he was so docile...but he would snarl if anyone unshady walked by as a warning....to me...he did not do that with everyone...just ones he knew to be up to no good.

Do you mean slap the dog sitter?

Thunder and lightning early morning again. The tornado watch was cancelled. Still lots of flooding around the state. The stream at the park was very high but not overflowing but lots of branches down.

Weekend is predicted to have some sun. After a week of rain that will be nice.

I am So PUT OUT with myself, I could just spit.

I didn't get my paycheck that we normally get on Monday until last night late in my shift. (I got off at 8pm). I put my paycheck in my backpocket, which it fits All The Way Down In There. Throughout the rest of my shift I kept periodically checking to make sure the paper/paycheck was still there.

Then I get home and empty ALL my pockets (rock, candy, unopened little tissue holder, change money and fingernail clips). I do not remember taking the check out of my pants...oh but I was All Fired Up to get those damn pants in the washer.

About 10 minutes into the wash I realize OH NO MY PAYCHECK...I immediately run out to the washer, and there was NO paycheck...nothing floating around in the water, nothing in the 4 pockets (2 side and 2 back), NOTHING. I run around the house, well around the 2 whole rooms I had been in at the time, and NOTHING.

Before I even let the wash cycle go back and complete, I ZOOMED back to McD's to see if my check had been handed in or turned up...I know, that was stupid, but you never know - and NO, it had not been handed in.

After I let the washing complete, it did seem like there was something (but more tissue like) that got on a lot of my pants. But would an unopened paycheck just freakin disintegrate into kleenex like particles?!? Our checks are the type you have to tear 3 edges off...like a gov't check.

So, even though I don't have to go to work until 3 today, I got up EARLY to call the restaurant and ask (tell) the manager to get my check I got yesterday stopped and I'll need a new one cut since I lost the check somewhere between McD's and here. After work, I told him I came straight home...and no, I didn't bother to try and explain how there might be the remnants of a check wrapped around under the middle agitator of the washer...that I can't get off or remove without tearing up the washer.

Now I can't go to sleep. gad [IMG]

I don't know what became of that dog sitter. The owner could not contact her last night.

I saw the sitter with the dogs on Sunday. Both of their leashes had been dropped and she was running around the front yard trying to decide which one to try to catch.

On Tuesday, she rode through the neighborhood looking for one of them.

I would not want to be her now.

I don't know what will become of the dogs impounded with the owner trapped on a cruise ship.

    It's a mess.

I just had contact with the injured woman. She says that she and her dog are both on antibiotics and pain meds, feeling thankful to be alive.

I would not want to be the dog sitter either right now....I hope those dogs don't get euthanized over that unfortunate set of circumstances.
have to wonder what went wrong...did the owners not leave clear enough instructions, or did she not have a clear grip of them.

first step for most of the people who have such accounts is to get banned for making a blatnt overstatement of the obvious ;).......this usually hurts because all the banners are your friends and you make a new account under a lame name like mxgixxa so you can still talk to the girls that you've been crushing on

at least I think that's how it happens ;)
