In 2008 my previous dog Sunny and I were attacked by a dog in our apartment building. The building manager was watching his sister's dog and figured that the dog did not need to be on a leash. I entered the hall from the front and was unlocking my door when the manager and his sister's dog came into the hall from the back door. The dog came flying at us and I could not get my door open in time. I was screaming until the guy came up the hall to get the dog. Sunny ended up with stitches on his ear and neck and I had to get a tetanus shot. Here you have to notify the police for dog attacks. The dog was supposed to be impounded but they could not find the dog. The owner would not produce papers to prove her dog had rabies shots.

The landlord paid my doctor and vet bills and the manager was out of here.

Ive been attacked two time by pit bull type dogs. first time I was getting out the car going on an electrical job in the ghetto .. dog come out of nowhere and was standing near the rear of the car. I was thinking of getting back in the car but I couldnt the dog started towards me pouncing on front feet, barking. I was carrying a tool bag that was plenty heavy,, I swatted the dog in the face with the bag . dog took off. I took a screwdriver out the bag and had my hammer in my hand case it come back but it didnt. the next day I was ready for his ass but dog wasnt there.

another time I was walking back from the park when the spotted pit like dog come out of nowhere with lightning speed. fortunately Im a large dog owner, and just tossed the dog to the side, it come back this time harder and lower - I managed to evade it some, but its circle rings become tighter and eventually he latched on to some clothing. it was on from that point. I just grabbed it and used my weight on it and smashed it to the ground, punching it, grabbing its eyes and mouth ,trying to break its jaw, now im pissed off and just want to kill it. it stayed aggressive, I picked it up and slammed its body into a cyclone fence grinding its face off the fence and dumping it behind the fence ,, not sure if it could get back out.. but low and behold the people in that house finally come outside and started screaming at me for dumping the vicious dog in their yard., and knew damn well who owned it. but it was stuck there in the yard til the police come, I wasnt carrying a phone so I told those screaming assholes to call the police .. nobody faced any charges cause nobody claimed the dog.
dog did not escape the white goo death sentence ..

I dont travel without a gun now .. Im to old for that crap.

Our floors were finished today. The other contractors said they are staying today until the rest of the job is done.....even if it means midnight. We passed our final inspection with the city this afternoon. We will be having a marathon moving session this weekend and then we will finally be back home!

Got an 8hp chipper/shredder at ReStore today. Thing runs so good...

it won't shut off. Seriously! :D

Easy fix, bad switch. It should also have some other TLC work done to it, it's got a Briggs engine and I figured if just that engine worked I would be ahead of the game. I tried it with some scrap from around the log splitter, some oak leaves, smallish sticks, chunks of bark, etc. and it had no issues grinding that stuff up. It's going to be really helpful around here for chipping brush, bark, leaves, etc. into mulch for the garden spaces. Won't have to burn that stuff when I can use it.

Got a screen for that sliding door I put in last year, too... Never did measure for what I needed, didn't measure this screen, It just looked "close enough" that I could adapt it if needed. It actually went right in, adjusted the rollers and it's perfect.

    The calibrated eyeball strikes again.

    Double score!

my favourite place for buying fixable stuff has decided to only open 1 day a week instead of 6

im pretty well done with that place because i dont do mornings and with only one day open you know all the good stuff is gone in the first few hours

how does an old man, who gets 950 a month, and has 3500 in the bank, because he, hasn't used credit for 40 years, who hasn't missed a payment due on anything for as long as he's had any, convince anyone they can count him continuing to do so? my friends where i live are selling the house, the new owner is ok and may let me continue with the same deal, its just that i don't know if i can count on that nor for how long, plus i'd really like to have my own kitchen. i see lots of places advertised at around 500, i've been paying 450 for the past two and a half years, but so far, none of the landlords will give me the time of day. none have responded to my e-mails, and when i go there in person they act like they think i'm some sort of unreliable person. and believe me, i shave and look ok too. and its not like i'm a kid. i'm 66 and look like i'm at least 40.

i guess i might as well laugh, because i know exactly how much good it will do me to cry. i'm an effeing nam era vet with a v.a. health i.d. to prove it too.

Landlords go by credit rating these days... Not using credit means you have a low credit score.

Sounds like they want to go out of business... one day a week is outrageous.

I've been charged, my dogs have been charged, but so far we've been lucky. I can't imagine the dogs actually making contact. Scary stuff. My two females get into it sometimes because the older one is grouchy. So far I've broken them up with the hose or by throwing a full pot of water at them. They've come away with some small little dings on their faces. I just don't want to think about the real thing happening to anybody or their dog.

    That sucks.
