According to the owner, the dog sitter did not follow her instructions at all.

Dang, Lynn! I know you're freaking out.

    its not a business

its a forced part of a contract to make it appear that the contractors have been "recycling" and "diverting" ...........the company that staffs the place could not care less about actually recycling and diverting

So do they just dump the stuff if it doesn't sell... I'd find out where it gets dumped, cut out the middle man.

We had another crazy incident in the neighborhood today.

Hubby was outside, heard tires squealing, and a crash. He yelled for me to call 911. When we got to the top of the hill we could see one car sitting in the middle of the intersection.

The police started on their way. Meanwhile I see the driver of the car fussing and gesturing with a group of neighbors in a driveway closest to the intersection. It looks like it's getting heated but he keeps going back and sitting on the hood of his car.

When the cops get there I walk a bit closer and see the stop sign hit so hard that it came out of the ground and flew back up into the corner yard.

Finally, after much neighbor discussion, we concluded that he and another vehicle were racing down our street. One of the vehicles attempts to pass the other. One of them hits the stop sign, attempts to back up and exit the way he came, but his quits and won't start again. The other vehicle sped out of here right after he hit the stop sign (this is all at a 4-way inside the neighborhood).

The neighbors were all really pissed and ready to hang him before the cops got there. Someone got the tag # of the one that left.

He said he didn't even live around here, that he lived about 100 miles south of here.

Dude told the cops that he was testing his brakes because he'd just had them worked on, lol.

I have a commercial chipper laying around that I'd be willing to sell you for pretty cheap if you want to come pull it home. If you like those small chippers....you will love what a big one can do. And that one is my smallest chipper. I'd let it go to you for maybe 20-30% of its value. Better to see a friend have it than to see it sit and rot away.

I have spent my evening moving back home. We're doing pretty good. We got a lot of stuff moved. I've been trying to convince my wife to let shit go. If we don't use it and we don't have to have it....it's value is of no consequence to us. Get rid of it. I'm an anti-hoarder. Our current basement was full if stuff we don't need and I fully intend to make sure that at least half of that stuff is donated. I'm not sentimental about most of it. We have four large boxes of "family china". Yeah....it's kind of cool but there are two sets. Her family and mine. We don't even remember which set belongs to which family. They've been in boxes for years. Some are wrapped in newspaper dated at 1976. I didn't even know we had them until we moved last fall. The best thing is to give that shit to family members who care because I seriously don't give a shit about that kind of thing. It's simply an obligation to me. It's just a thing and a not very useful thing at that. Why not give them to people who appreciate them more? I've never had a single meal on that set of dishes.

they are the contractors who run the dump

part of their contract is to reclaim/recycle as much as possible....but theyre too lazy and i guess the city finally gave in and let them cut the hours of the reclaim store

I need to have a Big Clean-Out here! The annual visit from the Cali boys is just a few weeks away, and I should have started getting worried about it in January.

The outside is looking better and better. for what its worth...then they'll come in and see (and analyze) vacuum meets clutter and bibliophile. At this point, dusting will be minimal....unless I happen to get some kind of super news, and I might clean and dust up everything. lol

    _______________________________________________________

Right now I'm more concerned about them getting me another check cut (and I would prefer a total copy, hours and everything) than I am anything. People kept asking me over and over today, did I feel alright? lol I would say, well I'm here or some such. I wanted to say well hell no, I want my check that everybody else got Monday but my dumbass didn't take it to the car on my break like I COULD HAVE LAST NIGHT. godalmighty. :bigcry:

I guess I'll get another check Monday. At this workplace, you don't get to talk but about 5 seconds, and I'm serious. I don't, anyway.

Others are able to talk and jabber away...I'm not one...only if there is IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW BUSINESS am I really listened to, except for when its really bad the young people laugh at me when I crack wise. ;)

So, my check situation...aside from my (short) talk this morning I rated about a 1 minute conversation, with me being told the lady that would have to take care of it happened to be standing right in front of lil bossman, which is honestly a good thing. I guess she'll get it done Monday. If not, I'll take my ass up to those headquarters (I'll find out ahead of time on Monday) where I need to go on my day off, which will be Tuesday to get my damn check.

I'm really sure I washed it, the more I've thought about it, and the remnants are probably still folded up and untorn, though withered and washed much, wrapped around that stupid agitator

I feel it likely I'll get the opportunity to explain just that, too, before all is said and done. gad.

Why am I awake at 6 a.m. on a Saturday? Sigh....oh wait...that's right....pussy. I wake up for that anytime. And I have a long day of moving shit so if the coffee would hurry up and get done brewing....I might be able to not be doing that shit at 10 or 11 p.m. like I was doing last night.

I love going outside in the morning and hearing the birds and also watching the little furry dudes run around the yard. Lots of animals in my backyard. I never bother them and they seem to not even care if they are 4 feet from me. I just chill out and let them be.

@ Wizard.... I have nothing to pull a commercial chipper with. Also, I don't really need anything that big. Back in the 60's when Dutch elm hit the street I lived on I saw a guy lose most of his lower arm in one of those. I remember that every time I hear one of those things running.

@ Lynn... I hope you get that check sorted. If it went through the wash I doubt there's anything left in the washer.
