I could use a sewing machine, but it would have to be an older Pfaff walking foot model so I can sew leather... Damn, just the thought of that made my hands hurt worse.

I'm pretty sure you push down the foot thing and the needle threads the fabric. ;)

Aerianne.....you should throw some feta cheese on those noodles. I love angel hair pasta with feta. Good stuff.

I'm running out of tarps... I seriously need some carports, the permanent type. One for the splitter and firewood production and one just outside the garage, maybe as an add on/extension to the garage. They would both need to be extreme heavy duty because of the winds up here. Like pole buildings without all 4 walls. (As if I can build a pole building by myself... what the fug am I thinking)

Now that there are two tractors tarped in the driveway, WoodRat and the Ranch King, I'm low on tarps for the splitter and the new to me chipper. The chipper has probably never been tarped in it's life, by the looks of it, but hey! It's got a new owner now. I have a 4 stall tractor shed, only two stalls are roofed at the moment but the stalls are really only big enough for parking and getting a tractor over there generally requires it to be running. I've got some firewood over by the splitter to cut up too and there's rain coming this afternoon.

I came up with a really different seating arrangement for Deere John... There was a 2 foot square iron hatch on the well pit before we filled that in, thing weighs a shyt ton. It's a 1/4 inch thick plate with a 1/4 inch angle iron frame welded around it. I'm going to mount that instead of a seat and just have a cushion to sit on. Adds weight to the rear of the tractor and it's a lot easier for me to get on and off without a seat back to swing my leg over. Seat height is perfect too. I was using it yesterday with it just sitting on there. 4 carriage bolts is all I need to mount it up. Or I could get fancy and hinge it so I have a trunk space under it... See, this is why I need a welder.

Mower is as far apart as I think I need to take it... Old belts are off anyways. Complicated design, or at least MTD's implementation of it. The variator pulley system looks great, bearings are in great shape, works as it should, so that's good news.

Still some gunk cleaning to do and then lube and reassemble everything... Hoping I don't end up with the dreaded "extra bolt" or in my case it's usually a missing bolt. Probably pull the wheels so I can clean and treat the tires all the way around. This is turning into a 4 day job.... Add another day next month to install new blades.

I won't be doing any fence posts today or tomorrow... Hope to finish that up on Saturday.

I found out today that the architect that designed this house is the same one that has local fame and a preservation society not too far away... Once I have some documentation of that I'll get in touch with them. This may be one of his first designs and I doubt they know it's still out here.

I have bologna and tomato. I may do that later tonight.

How do people listen to country music? It's so sad.

Grandson was playing his "walk up" song on youtube and left the player going when he went outside. Trace Atkins just made me so fucking sad. How do people do it?

that is a stereotype.....bluegrass is actually sadder as far as content.....much more starving on the mountain stuff.......

..many country songs are about riding in the pick up truck and partying with girls in jean shorts with the occasional saturdy nite fracas

I eat Greek yogurt every day with my lunch. If I'm lucky, I will mix in some homemade granola that my wife and daughter make.

i had a decent day..pain was less than usual plus i made a good deal selling something (but not counting on it until the payment comes in)..plus more people are on the way to buy some parts they need....sometimes being a packrat really pays off saving parts of wrecks...lots gets thrown away but you never know when people will need a starter for an oddball car

the best part of the first deal was that i accepted their offer thinking they were including delivery...then they offered $200 more for me to deliver it lol

Grandson's game was a rain event. I left his other grandma there to drag him off the field when they call it.
