Ran some errands this morning, got my tires put on, had breakfast by myself while I was out (which I don't mind), did some stuff around the house, went down to visit my grandpa who is still in the hospital, had dinner at a Mediterranean place that we like and then came home. Outside listening to the birds and the rain again. Full circle, I guess.

no... i'm the first ever...... ;)

buddy is trying to sell me this car....05 Volvo xc70 sport edition....its fully loaded excpt for a sun/moon roof.....has a 5 cylinder motor.....forgot to check the miles when I test drove it today

it needs an ecu?.....something like that.....i'm looking into it.......someone told me it cost a grand to change the headlight on some models of Volvos....that could not be accurate though

anyway...black on black leather trim.......mint inside....very clean....they go for minimum 5500 and up to 8000 at dealers.....this one needs rubber and I might be able to grab it for 3500

yeah i was just about to say most of them are fixed jet now

all you can really do is clean them and blow them out....

you could also ream out the jets with welding tip cleaners but i dont recommend it unless youre absolutely sure its running lean

also exact valve clearance is very important on those engines..makes a big difference on starting and smooth running

It just won't idle without hunting unless the choke is on... Starts and runs okay. I figured the partially plugged gas tank was the issue, but that had nothing to do with it. I'll have to deal with that some other time, I gotta get the deck on it and start mowing.

I can believe almost anything if they're talking about the dealership doing it. My wife's car is a late-model (non-Asian) import. The computer in the car is saying the car needs brakes. That (and every single little thing on the car including windshield wipers) was covered under the warranty but that part of the warranty just expired at 35k miles. The dealership tried to sell us an extended service warranty for over $2000. It covers oil changes, brakes, wipers, etc. They said the brakes alone would cost us $1700 when they needed to be changed. I told her that was complete bullshit and there is no way I'm paying that much for brakes or for the extended warranty.

I called my guy at the parts store and he can get pads for $52 for the front end and $34 for the rear end. Even if I don't want to do it myself....I asked the guys at the shop where I take my Jeep. They said pads, rotors and new sensors would be under $600 and I highly doubt the car needs new rotors or sensors.

I have a friend who used to bitch about how much his BMW cost to fix. Well...that's because you take it to the BMW dealer. It was like $230 for an exhaust bracket at that place. The bracket that costs $7 will be fine even if it doesn't have "BMW" stamped into it.

look for cap on side of carb...i cant remember what engine you have but most will have an idle jet there usually with a small cap to cover it ..just pop off the cap unscrew the jet, clean it and put it back in

It seems the bulk of the seizures were caused by medication he discontinued. He's had one since stopping it but he thinks it was being very tired plus low blood sugar.

Today it wasn't seizure; it was chills with the fever. Now we have to find the cause of it. Maybe it's ears.

We don't have results from his abdominal CT scan. He is going for colonoscopy on Thursday. After that we will have an appointment to get the results of both.

He is still having a terrible time with diarrhea and pain after eating.

Aeri, The Mother would say to give your husband some vinegar water for his stomach. Reading what Moonie said made me think of that.

I've never found that to be effective. In fact, when she'd make me up her concoction to "help" my stomach/diarrhea problems it about made me [IMG] In fact, even smelling vinegar when my stomach is the slightest big upset makes it worse, much worse.

Some people say to put honey on everything or put it down your throat if its something that can't be covered... lol :D The Mother says that, too...

Between honey and vinegar all ills in the world could be fixed.

It's the 18HP I/C Briggs... (42A707 2238 E1) From searching around it's probably dirty carb. Everything else "seems" okay although I haven't ruled out everything else yet. Seeing as it is running at the moment I'm gonna mount the deck and hood so I can put it back in service. I'll deal with the little shyt later. I'll want to get a kit before messing with the carb, I also need a few more parts, but that's gonna be "next month" (I hope)

    Thanks man.
