I think 8mm disturbed me quite a bit too, now that I think about it.

It does not sound like I want to see Irreversible.

I must say I thought the rape scene in Clockwork Orange was worse than Straw Dogs.

Anyone seen Naked? Another film that portrays woman as enjoying being raped, and controversial when it came out.

8mm, is that that that nicholas Cage film that was based loosely around the film Tesis?

I saw a clip of Tesis once and it really disturbed me, stuck in my head for ages.

I dont know what Tesis is, but 8mm upset me, especially when i noticed the girl had a Nirvana sticker on her diary, dont know why that mattered to me but it did.

Tesis is a spanish film about this girl or something who was doing her PhD thesis on snuff movies, and of course as to be expected ended up being in one herself.

I heard rumours after I saw this one clip that some of the scenes in it were taken from real snuff movies, but I reckon that is just rumours.

I have to say I understand why it would bother you. That is why I don't watch horror films myself, because I can't stand to all the violence, senseless or not. I've never really been bothered by a rape scene tho. Maybe because I've never seen a movie where they actually managed to portray the scene enough to make me feel for the people it was happening to.
