CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) — The first store selling medical cannabis is opened in Kanawha County.
The products come in several different forms, from gummies and capsules to lotions.
Wendy Newman suffers from Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and anxiety.
"A lot of times I don't even want to get out of the house because I just cringe,” Newman said,
The one thing she has found that eases her symptoms is cannabis from hemp.
"It has been helping me tremendously,” Newman said.
With the opening of Appalachian Cannabis Company on Saturday, she now has a place to get the CBD products that work for her. CBD stands for cannabidiol and unlike cannabis products that contain THC there is no high, and unlike opioids it is non-addictive.
"I don't like the THC high, so I am so ecstatic with the hemp oil and the CBD because I don't have to worry about getting a fuzzy head,” Newman said.
Those characteristics are a focus for owner Chris Yeager.
"We want to be able to provide a non-psycho, non-addictive product, and we're able to do that with CBD,” Yeager said.
Yeager spent a few years in Colorado learning the ins and outs of the cannabis industry with the goal of bringing it to his home state.
"We wanted to bring the knowledge, we wanted to bring the experience and we want to spearhead this industry for the state of West Virginia,” Yeager said.
Yeager says with medical cannabis now being legalized in West Virginia, many might not understand its purpose but encourages anyone with questions to come to the store.
"Don't just sit by and not get the information, because it's out there and we do want to act as a resource to anybody in the community that wants to come out and gain the knowledge about this industry and about this plant,” Yeager said.

Guy from the Design department came to make a sample on one of the machines today so I looks at his Design Number 1127 Its not in the Computer So then he Goes through All the Designs ( there are about 150 ) finds one thats nothing like it and says " lets try this " But the 1300 Threads of yarn on the machine are in the wrong order for ( even for the right design ) So he says Get someone to change them and then try It " you will have to come back next week mate " I says !

Mead is thicker in texture than wine and very sweet depending the brand. Can heat on stove or chilled in fridge.

Should always been drunk from horn, whole bottle, just tip that in the horn and neck that.

Don't forget to hail Loki over mead too. Though he's an enemy to the åesir. Oden asked that when drinking mead, that a horn will be raised for Loki too.

No, mead is like nothing else, as is barley wine, although given a choice, I would choose barley wine! Both have very strong tastes, and I guess the over honey taste of mead is an acquired taste, I'm not a big honey taste fan..makes me feel sick on the second sip.. where as barley wine, ok, I can drink 2 bottles before I've had enough.. but that's just me.. both are sickly

My dog is really close to me tonight like out of the normal close like he won't leave me alone. He just has to be on top of me, or hugging me with his legs or licking my face or all of the above in one second. I think he likes my fingernails scratching under his neck and all. And probably cause the miss was kicking him under the blanket and he got annoyed because he can't bite because there's a blanket and he knew it was her and not me so he fully just ignored her and now I have a big sooky cat to deal with. :d
