Damn man, that really sucks. I used the same bowl for about two years. It was a little small but was really easy to carry around and a great sized bowl for a couple people. After buying a new bowl and a sick sherlock, I decided to give my brother my old bowl since it meant a lot to me but I wasn't using it. Long story short, some dumbass kid ended up dropping the container that the bowl was stashed in while they were in a parking lot. My brother had that thing for maybe 3 weeks before breaking it which blows my mind because I went through some rough shit for the two years I had it.

Sorry to bring this up too, but that is way too fucking dirty. I can't believe you would smoke out of that. A couple bucks will get you some rubbing alcohol and ice cream salt and that shit would be clean in no time. A clean bong with fresh water tastes so much better than even having a small layer of resin.

For your next piece you should really look into getting something with a perc unless you are dead set on the V-Tower (and from what I've heard, it is amazing).

 

have you ever had a fucking bong for 5 years?! that shit did not come clean with rubbing alcohol and salt, hot water and salt, 420 cleaner, anything. sometimes it came off in chunks, but i could never get it 100% clear. i agree that a clean piece tastes way better, and i tried to keep that thing clean. i changed the water every day or two. tried to shake water inside of it to clean it every time, which eventually lead to it's demise.

yea i really didn't think i'd get to buying a new one so fast. but my GF was really bitching at me for smoking that home made one, so...

i found some online last night, but today i decided i really needed to hold the piece in my hand. i even had the dude at the store put water in it, to test it out - make sure the water from the perc didn't hit my lips. the guy was calling the perc a diffuser and didn't think you put water in it. he thought you just let the water get pulled into it. i guess either works.
i'm not 100% sure how the perc works, but i think it's doing it's thing.

i probably won't name it. my other bong went 5 years without a name other than "my bong," so i think this one will too
it definitely will be referred to as "her" or "she" considering the pink.

i'm also a big fan of clear bongs for the same reason. one needs to see how large of a hit one is taking.
this one's a little snazzier with the colors though.

my old slider fits it too. so i can use that if i want. i'm psyched that i got a glass screen finally. i had been using metal ones b/c i hate losing green weed to the bong water. but smoking metal is not exactly healthy when the fucking screen disintegrates over time! and a metal screen kinda defeats the purpose of a glass bowl head.

ok haters - how do i keep this thing clean? PREVENT it from ever getting that resin film caked on. do i HAVE to clean it every time i smoke? it's just a buzz kill to go clean it right after getting high - every time

 

i dont name pieces either i dont really see the point haha i got a free glass screen with my bubbler i bought a while back but i lived at home and only smoked at night at the time and lost the screen while ashing it off the porch haha was disappointing

im always a slacker when it comes to cleaning my peices but when i do clean them i go with the iso alcohol and salt in it, cover the holes and shake, rinse and repeat a few times and it gets it nice and clean. if you dont want it to get dirty at all maybe do that like once a week or once every 2 weeks or something and it should be fine id guess

Haha, I went and got a new pipe yesterday too. I like your new bong!! I had a Tommy Chong double perc and it got broken, then I found out it was worth $5k cause he was in jail at the time. It had a matching stem too, it was so bad ass.

 

I would've been severly heartbroken.

 

I was, trust me. The person who did it still hears about it to this day..

 

yea it's got an ice catcher right at the top. i have to break or melt the ice cubes though cuz it's a small tube. i'm trying it out now

i don't think that's enough to keep it clean in the LONG run, wonka. i'll try to rinse it every day, at LEAST every other day.

Yea, I know they didn't mean too. But come on a Tommy Chong bong. Plus I got it for like $20 from an oxy head. I actually bought his whole collection for like $200, I got soo much glass it wasn't funny. Plus cases for all of it. It was one of my most epic deals from a junkie. Other than the 2000 Potiac Grandam I got for and ounce of weed I didn't have to pay for.

I still have the bong, someday I will glue it back together so I can at least show it. It was a pretty clean break.

 

If you find a headshop, which you can usually do at small headshops, perhaps they could fix it for you.

 

Our headshops don't have glass blowers. And it is too dirty to try to fix, you can't clean the part where it is perculated, and it is broken right below that. I had my alligator pipe fixed by a blower when we broke his leg off

 

I sure hope they would have a headshop at a small headshop

yea, i find that you can still get a pretty big hit with a small bong. you just have a hit that's more dense. a 3 foot bong is not necessary.

i must admit thought that my new bong could stand to be a bit bigger. or the downstem longer. with all the water in the bottom and in the perc, there isn't a lot of room for smoke. i can't really get a nice milky one, b/c it just starts traveling in my mouth.
i still get an awesome hit, it just doesn't look as milky

just cleaned it and put it away for the night
