i'm going to assume that this is merely innuendo, given the nature of the thread.... but its true a lot of folks don't appreciate a good head on a beer. its is a must. it helps disperse the aromatic qualities and makes for a more enjoyable, flavorful experience....but then again, most folks i know drink shitty beer and so they dont care. many people even try to avoid a head from developing during the pour for some reason
Actually a good head on a beer is very necessary in the Czech. If the beer has a bad head, you won't go to this pub again.
It was a bit of both actually:cheers2: I am admittedly not a big beer drinker, but I do know a good head on beer should be appreciated
well, i meant people in my neck of the woods....americans and canadians, mostly. most of them drink mostly shitty beers like budweiser, busch, miller, labatts, molson, and so on, and they try their hardest to pour without generating any foam. a "good" bar here (unless its one that specializes in quality beers) will fill your glass to the top, with little to no foam, maybe like a half a cm of foam at the top. with most of these beers, even if you get a nice sized head on it, its not very fluffy, and wont stick around. i've seen a head on a beer disappear in less than a minute cause its just so thin and the bubbles pop too quickly. they want the most bang for their buck and want the least taste and aroma personally, i love a nice, thick, fluffy head on the top of the glass. the kind that will stick around, and will cling to the sides all the way to the end of the glass once you finish it
I know! I've seen "your" beers in movies and I thought "what are they drinking..? Is that beer?" ... so that's how a real American/Canadian beer looks like.
yeah... I started bartending a few months back (just filled in some shifts) and when pouring a draft beer I was told to try and not let it have tons of foam on top. definitely Americans wanting "more" beer. to be honest though, I hardly drink beer. so I wouldn't know anything about good aroma. :cheers2:
Haha, that is so cuuuute XD What does is stand for ? Komunistička Stranka Češke Something ? I'm just guessing here...
Komustická strana Čech a Moravy. (Morava is one of two parts of the Czech rep. The first one is Čechy. Yeah, we're soo small, but have two parts. )
Yeah. And you guys have a real communist party. We only have lame leftovers of what was once a communist party.
