In This One It Looks Like Your Ass Is Just About To Kiss The Road.... Hope You Remembered To Wear Your Kevlar Reinforced, Teflon Coated Underkerdunkers... Cheers Glen.
This guy looks strangely familiar... Fun in the Sun And I seem to have lost my video embedding powerz...
How Did You Film It So Well, Firstly I Thought The Camera Was On A Motorbike, But I Could Not Hear It, Then I Thought It Was Another Skater With Helmet Cam, But The Film Was Too Steady. Enlighten Me Please....? Cheers Glen.
The Bonzing Boom! A GoPro camera mounted on the end of a shaft from a hockey stick. This can be done with PVC pipe, a lacrosse stick, ski pole, etc. Handling it while skating takes a bit to get used to, but it's one of the most versatile ways to film this kind of stuff. A 'fig rig' would be another way to do it... not as maneuverable, but easier to use. The Bonzing Boom makes an appearance at the end of this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkxXIXzeqfc"]Hella Hella Gnar Cal (embedding powerz regained, aww yeeea)
Thanks For The Reply, So Happens I Watched That Video Yesterday After I Had Viewed Yours for The Umpteenth Time, What I Really Wanted To See Was What The Speedo In The Car Was Showing, My Guess Would Have Been 80-100 kph, How Close Was I.??. Cheers Glen. P.S. Just Wanted To Add That A Few Months Ago Bathurst Was Host To "Newtons Nation" An Event Where Peeps Come From All Over The World To Skate, Luge *spelling* Down Our Famous Racing Circut "Mount Panorama". Why Don't You Fly Over Here And Skate Against The Worlds Best.....??
I'm not sure exactly... that hill is a beastly 18% grade. When he goes around the little right and just takes off I would bet he got up to at least 45-50mph (about 70-80kph), but I tend to estimate on the low side. Let me see... 1. Quite a lot of the world's best happen to call my time-zone home 2. I'm broke as a joke 3. Although I've been skating since I was 8, barging down big nasty hills is something of a recent thing for me. Actually racing adds a ton of difficulty/danger that I need to work up to. By this time next year I hope to be getting into some serious craziness... Of course a promotion at work would help so I can fund some road trips to the mountains.
