I'm waiting on the son to arrive before I start hamburgers, and it's time for his butt to be here! :chef: [IMG] :daisy:

With this time being turned back, he must have had fun last night, or he'd have been here. lol ;)

    So that's ok. :)

I would love to have a grandchild, and I'm serious.

I think we have some of those kids that treat here as we are close to navan and it is a really small town so many come into orleans to do their trick or treating. :)

I had about 150 tricksters last night. There were two little girls together that decided to come right on in and sit with Lace. The mom was trying to shoo them and had no luck. It was really cute. Lace was a clown and for the first 50 or so bell rings she ran to the door to meet and greet, then she climbed into her bed and gave me a look that said, you are on your own. :)

We live close! I'm in south keys. We had very few kids though. My parents in Westboro still only had 40 kids and I consider that a nice part of town.

I gave out Little Debbie snack cakes. We never have more than 20 kids and I hate how expensive those tiny candies are.

I feel like the number of trick or treaters has gone down drastically in recent years.

We lived in Syracuse NY when we were kids. We had a dachshund who went nuts when the doorbell rang. Of course the doorbell was 4 chimes that would each chime twice. At Halloween Dad would remove three of the chimes to hopefully induce sanity in the home but Max could not be fooled. Two chimes worked for him and there was always a lot of barking that night.

When we were little, my brother and I would climb up the bedroom door facing that was near where the doorbell was mounted in the hall. We'd set the doorbell off and watch mom go nuts trying to figure out who was at the door messing with her.

Went to an estate sale today. Was raining and not much great stuff so not a lot of people came.....cha-ching. Every thing went dirt cheap. I saw a star wars sealed vhs set I wanted. They went through 6 boxes that nobody bid on before I got my box for $2.00 those other boxes that came with it had lots of good stuff too. Kids toys, sealed. Already got a few nice Christmas presents.
A bunch of decanters for $2. Or less. A couple nice ones for $3. A bunch of collectable NASCAR cars for $10 for the big sealed ones. Down to $2. For the smaller ones and the matchbox sized ones. Rediculous amount of earnhardt sr. And Jeff Gordon stuff. Irmi would have been in heaven. There was a Gordon fan there he got everything with his name on it all for the starting bid price. Usually $2.

Nothing could have beat today's race in Martinsville. It's going to be remembered as one of the best NASCAR races in years. What a piece of luck to be there! Every kind of drama you could want from a race. Not one but two intentional wrecks due to personal grudges, a red flag, a finish in near total darkness at a track without lights, and the first win of the year for Jeff Gordon in his final season! I couldn't believe it.

Danica Patrick rammed a rival driver and showed all of America beyond any doubt what an obnoxious bitch she really is, then Matt Kenseth got revenge on Joey Lagano near the end, who was leading the race at the time. Lagano has caused a lot of wrecks this year and won a lot of races, so the fans gave Kenseth a standing ovation for taking him out. There will probably be big fines and other penalties given out this week.

A red flag was required to clear the debris, so the finish was very late. The TV cameras made it look a lot lighter than it really was. I'm in the same time zone and we were having the same weather, so I could look out my window and see how dark it was.

It was even more dramatic than last night's Mets meltdown in the World Series, ending with a freaky double play, and the US women's gymnastic team winning the world championship gold medal in Scotland yesterday, with the UK unexpectedly taking bronze. I also have a major ice skating championship from Canada recorded on my DVR. What a weekend for sports! I didn't even have time for football.

So, we got taken into one of the RCR race haulers today and that was pretty awesome and special and the rain stayed away so we got the whole race in. We were up in turn 1 right where Kenseth smashed Logano. The crowd went wild. I thought it was gutless but, at the same time knew Jeff had that race won so I cheered too. The crowd was fantastic today. And then, he won and I couldn't believe it. I literally penciled this race in as the best shot of have to see him win and I just can't believe it. We made our way to the front to watch the ceremony and it was awesome.

Because it was raining my green flag experience I paid for pretty much just went to everyone to get out of the rain so again I missed my chance to meet him but I'm over that now. I'm just so excited with that win. :)

Then we went watched the Broncos beat those cheese heads just now. :D

Its been a week now. I have a bottle of wine calling my name for next weekend and if not the week after I am visiting my friend who makes it a tradition to go to the microbrewery. So we shall see how that goes.

Wasn't that also where earlier in the race, Logano slowed down on that restart and caused a chain reaction wreck behind him? Looking at the replay, it looks intentional to me.

I've seen him do a lot of dirty stuff this year, and I don't even watch half the races. He may become the most hated driver of his generation. I can see why somebody wanted to take him out and teach him a lesson, but they usually don't make it quite so obvious.

Danica is lucky today that everybody is distracted from talking about what she did.
