I was pretty much born to think the way I do. My birth mother was Scandinavian, and my birth father was African America and Puerto Rican. I got adopted by a Polish/German Jew and an Irish/Scottish/English Christian. My brother, who is to years older than me, is adopted from a different family, and he is 100% Puerto Rican. So as you can tell, my family is very very mixed. My extended family is also very mixed, including Italians, French, Polish, and Japanese. Parts of my family also include people who are racist, and hate the fact that my Mom adopted my brother and I, because they too agree with wutthe4k, and think that races should not mix.

I cannot try to tell you how to think, because you didn't ask me to do that, you were just stating your personal opinion. However, I do not agree with you that you are not racist. Yes, racism has become somewhat a loose term lately, and people are willing to call someone racist at the drop of a hat, but from your lack of explanation as to why you feel the way you do, I would have to say that is a racist thought. Just like The Reverend said, you contradicted yourself when you said it "disgusts you". If it wasn't for your choice of words, it still would have came off as offensive, but not completely racist. If you really think we are all misunderstanding you, then you should explain yourself better. Why is it ok for a white man to date a black woman, but not for a black man to date a white woman? What is the difference? If you truly had a problem with interracial relationships, they would all bother you, not just a certain group in particular.

And as for your comment about me saying that white was the first thing that came to mind, (you said "interesting...") I would like to know what your getting at. If I need to explain further, the reason white was the first thing that came to mind was because it was mainly white people who were agreeing with what you were saying. If you are implying that I was being racist, please let me know. Me and my white parents will have a good laugh about it over some wine later.

alright well i guess putting it that way you could call me partially racist. i dont have a reason why i'd prefer to see a white guy dating a black girl than vice versa. i just don't like it. but to explain what i was getting at a little better, it bothers me more to see interracial couples having children together than it does to just see the interracial couple. the reason of which i already stated in a previous post.

Ok. Well I have a few more questions. Why does it bother you that people of mixed races have children? Does it bother you that more people are excepting the fact that skin color is no way to judge someone, and understanding that you can love anyone regardless of what they are, what they believe in, or what other people say? Go look at my pictures. When you look at me, do I disgust you? I won't be mad, because obviously I can assume what your answer would be, I would just like to know. You wont hurt my feelings. I just want to know how serious you are when you say what you say. I've never really had a chance to speak to someone who was honest about how they feel like you have been, and even though I completely disagree with how you feel, I am still curious.

you don't disgust me the slightest bit. if you want me to be honest then i think you're gorgeous. i already said before it's not people of mixed races that i don't like. its when people of different races have children, just because i think you should be proud of your race and you should want to keep it that way...you're race. i just don't really agree with mixing. talking about this kind of changed my views a little bit. i suppose they were a little foggy before. but i still don't like seeing white girls with black guys. out of everything that's just one thing that, like i said before, as bad as it may sound, disgusts me. i can't tell you why because i don't know. there's just something about it that strikes a nerve in me.

Um, your thinking is in line with that of the moderate white supremacist movement. They're opposed to mixing races, and merely fight for the pride/purity of the white race. Congratulations!

I personally don't see anything to be proud of for being a certain race. It's not like you're part of a team or anything. You just happen to be born a certain way. Don't attach meaning where there is none.

Racism has been ingrained into societal living in the U.S. of A. Wutthe could very well not even realize that he is racist while he is actually experiencing racial thoughts. Don't blame it on him, blame it on those who came before him an' haven't put a stop to this poison. Fuck the motherfuckers who came up with the idea that white man was above all others. Plain an' simple man

I agree with you, but I am proud of what I am. I never used to say much about it, and to tell you the truth, people can't usually tell what I am. I just started talking about it more because around when high school started, I heard people I thought were my friends talking about how they hate black people or making black jokes right in front of me, and they never even knew I was black. After they would say what they wanted to say, I would mention that I was part black. Some would say "Oh but not you Jessica, your not like that" or "You know, I just mean like the really ghetto ones, your parents are white". The worst I've heard though, that really made me as proud as I am is "Well you seriously don't even look black Jessica, I wouldn't even tell anyone that you are because they would never know." Oh. Really? Yes! Problem solved...lol riiight. I don't judge others on how they were born, and I expect not to be judged either, but when it happens, you will be dealing with one proud and pissed off mixed girl.

    Agreed as well.

I'm happy that your at least open to hear others views, and thank you for having an honest conversation with me about it.
