    Okay, back to football!

Still on a high after this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vniUi3aGSxw"]YouTube- USA vs Algeria Goal

Focus: Was this the biggest goal in international competition in the history of American football? Or maybe the most exciting. What will it do for the popularity of the sport? I think it will turn some people on to the sport for sure!

    Gooooaaaalllll!

I wouldn't say the biggest goal in hisory but most exciting I personally take the dos cero over Mexico to be the best goals in American football since its was on neutral soil and the Mexicans can say they lost since they were away but in neutral ground.

I dont know why the games blowing up this WC around? but I dont feel that football will ever be popular here in the states and I really dont care to be honest.

Yah, that first goal against Mexico was huge. That was a very tense match I remember.

So how do you think USA will shape up against the big boys then? I mean Korea lost to Portugal 7-0

Though some of the teams are not as good as they have been, how well do you think had you were to come up against these sort of sides? Other than England, who we all know are playing terribly, the group the US were in was not very tough

I hope you guys do well, but where do you imagine you will get to?

US football is far away from what Northern Korean football, please dont compare.
Well the US has to face a Ghana that has some what had up good against other teams in its group but remember that US has done back to back comebacks while Ghana hasn't. I say US 2 Ghana 1, US in the quarters. Also I dont think Englands been playing ugly but just overrated like every WC :D.

I think so far this Cup even the dominating "giants" have been reduced to size several times.
    I mean, look at France.
And then there's England. Italy lost today to Slovakia (lol), Germany was beaten by Serbia, and it isn't like they exactly blew Ghana out of the water either.

I think a lot of the "big boy" teams have gotten too comfortable being big boy teams.
It's kind of like no one expected the U.S. to qualify, much less win their group, and now that they have people say, "oh, they won? well, their group wasn't that tough anyways, the big boys will take care of them".
To be honest, I haven't seen many of these supposed big boy teams yet.

As for where we will get to, it isn't a question I care to answer because it doesn't matter to me.
Would I like to see the U.S. win the Cup? Yes. (maximum lulz)
Do I think we will? I really don't know, I'm just having a good time watching entertaining matches.

On that note, how hilarious would it be if England and U.S. squared off in the final, and the U.S. won?

Look at France? wtf do you mean? they sucked ball even before the WC started they had to go to play offs against Ireland and then cheat there way to qualifying. Them sucking balls has nothing to do with them be once great since they sucked going in the WC.

Then there England? I honestly starting to get the feeling you just watched the WC and didnt watch any qualifying games for Europe or Conmebol or our Concacaf qualifier games, but England are always infamous overrated team with unreachable expectations from the fans/media. Look at the Euros 2008, where was England? and the group England was in to qualify to the WC was a joke!

As for Italy you shouldn't be surprised either look at there opener in the Euro2008 4-0 lose to Holland. Also Lippis came in only just a year ago and Alot of the players in the Azzurri were old.

I think your wrong there Algeria and Slovania were beatable and I been watching the US squad since 2007. I believed and never doubted it.

I will say it now but we will beat ghana (2-1) then beat Urugay ( 2-2...win on penalty) then face Brasil in the Semis but get knocked out.

    BELIEVE THAT!

I dont think we will win this WC its not worthy of a WC. This squad is very good dont get me wrong but its not WC winning quality.

    ...uh, yeah.
    That is my point.
Go back and read what I said again.

Of course they were beatable, and of course YOU believed, you are obviously on team U.S.
But trust me, a lot of people didn't believe and were laughing the U.S. off the field even before the tourney began.
Have we already forgotten stuff like this?
