Yea, well, I used to try it out every day before falling asleep when I was a bit younger and it never happened to me before falling asleep, but I did get to the point where the astral body is trying to detach. To let it detach is another thing though, you start second doubting and becoming kinda scared of the unknown, because it's one thing to think about astral projection, but once you're on the verge of having one, it's really a life-changing experience. I do get them in the morning though sometimes when I wake up for a brief second, I stay down in bed and meditate to keep my mind awake, the body is already super relaxed in the morning if you don't let yourself wake up too much. The hard part while trying to project consciously is to forget about your physical body, that's why in the morning it's easier cause your body is already super relaxed. Although, I've honestly never had the chance to fully benefit from an astral projection, it takes so much mind control, it's like mastering the most powerful psychedelic drug on earth. The most I've been able to do was to float about 2 meters above my body in my bed and look down at me, just this feeling, this completely new feeling, makes you too emotive and for some reasons pull you back in the body. It's pretty crazy coming back two though cause you feel pulsations on where the 3rd eye chakra is supposed to be located, I never really believed in spiritual chakras and stuff but I guess it's true. Oh and I'd also like to point out, drugs and astral projection isn't really the best idea. And if you're willing to start meditations for that, look up astral projection on google, there's tons of interesting and not so interesting and farfetched information to find.
