I'm not too fond in general about what people call art and what is not. And what's wrong with pseudo poetry as it strikes so many peoples hearts? Although alot of people seem to forget it's also the music that makes it feel so great. I don't keep sight on what's overrated and what's not, it depends on the person you ask anyway. I used to think U2 is overrated (secretly I still think they are) but I know it's useless to voice that opinion since they're obviously very loved by a lot of people (strangely).

    U2 is overrated as well

and no it's not useless, because you can reach others who feel like you, and sometimes even spread your hatred

you seem to follow hippie ideals a bit, but one of the strongest is the strength of the underground, the minority's ability to spread

I agree, but only because our definition of good rock or good music (in this case), I don't think they are great for nothing, just like a band like Tool or Live or Radiohead, which are all in the same boat for me (the 'apparently good but I can't hear it boat'). So because of all the Jim Morrison fans who can't stop yelling about the greatness of the Doors and Light my fire their brilliant psychedelic blues rock sound which nobody else had The Doors is an overrated band? I mean, even if they have bad songs and their organ is annoying at times they still created an amazing sound and great songs.

I really don't care about hippie ideals, although I won't deny I might have a lot of them in common haha. Which ones do I seem to resemble?
Actually I feel like I'm more aware of underground rock then a lot of people on this forum, but I am at the point that I don't really mind those things anymore. Of course I still appreciate if a band choose to stay loyal to an awesome sound that isn't embraced by the large market, but if it's good it's good even if it's 'commercial'.
I won't deny the strength of a good underground scene but isn't a popular mainstream scene even stronger? I don't really pay attention to the strength of a scene, the thing I dig about underground is the lots of fun and will to play their own good music instead of large stages with people on there that are sucked into commercial deals and imagebuilding. Of course there's something in between those things.. I get the feeling I'm getting offtopic now
